Great idea. A bit late for this season, but why not arrange a 5 test series in Aus for the winter of 2009/10? We'll probably lose to the Aussies on their own patch given our lads lack of knowledge of Aussie tracks, but the experience would be great for them. Riding big tracks is something our younger riders rarely have a chance to do. It could prove useful when they come back to the Euro mainland tracks, especially if it's becomes and anual series.

I have to say I was surprised by the result, and also disappointed. Leading with two to go is something I never would have predicted. I had the Aussies down for slowing pulling away from us throughout. I hold my hands up. I was wrong. Our lads did us proud for the most part. Just so disappointing to throw away all that hard work in the last two. Very promising though. Well done to all concerned. England for a really good effort, and the Aussies for the comeback and win.

English pair made the gate on a 5-1 until Doyle swept around the outside of Wilson on the 1st bend of the 3rd lap.

Holder got the better of Kennett into the 1st bend and pulled away for a comfortable win.

Hard 1st bend by Doyle moved the England pair wide and allowed Sweetman into second place. Wright passed him on the second lap and Frampton made the inside pass on the first bend a lap later, Sweetman then shed a chain.

Aussie pair made the best start but Bridger soon passed Protor on the inside on the first turn but could get nowhere near Batchelor.

Tight first bend, England held 2nd/3rd but Wilson held up Frampton on the last turn and that allowed Smith to nick 3rd place on the line.

Doyle made a blinding start and was miles ahead of Kennett after just a lap & he had extended his lead by the finish.

Batchelor just beat Frampton into the first bend, then Proctor ran into the side of Frampton causing his bike to shed a chain.

Batchelor and Kennett swapped the lead about 8 or 9 times over the first 3 laps before Batchelor finally got the upper hand. Fantastic race.

Barker to take a TR. Wilson in for Auty.

Barker was shunted out wide on the first bend. Wilson had the lead. Barker got past Smith on the 3rd lap just as Proctor passed Wilson for the lead! Wilson just slowed down in time for Barker to get the 2nd place.

England seemed to hit the self destruct button.Early indications were that they could win this one.Not sure if it was England relaxing or the Aussies upping their game.Impressive finish by Boycies men.

 

Superb Ht1 win from Jordan Frampton.Very clever ride to outwit Holder.Very fortunate to stay upright in ht10,when he got clattered very hard by Proctor.If Frampton had gone down,Im sure proctor would have been excluded.

Wright....Ht6 apart,cant say I noticed him

Frampton....see above

Kennett....Good first ride,but couldnt catch anyone after that

Barker....battled hard all night,cant fault his effort.His gating though,is crap

Auty....poor,yet to impress me at all since the U15's a couple season ago.

Wilson....had a go early on,but faded
