sian01
should be an easy win for the aussie team as they include 3 blunsdon regulars...... plus holder and woodward of the elite league
Seb the Snail
should be an easy win for the aussie team as they include 3 blunsdon regulars...... plus holder and woodward of the elite league I agree, but I guess that just sets it up nicely for a decider in the final meeting? I wonder if there are any plans to restage if the weather intervenes, as it must be a shade of odds on at the moment.
21st century heathen
...as i said he does need a calming influence, desperately. Perhaps that's the case as a general comment, but not on the night as far as I'm concerned. People need to remember that he's still a very young rider, and mistakes are likely. He's got plenty of natural ability and people should get behind him if they want British Speedway to flourish. should be an easy win for the aussie team as they include 3 blunsdon regulars...... plus holder and woodward of the elite league I think you're right. A very comfortable win is on the cards. Hopefully the Brits make a few better starts than they did last night. They were nearly all shocking out of the start. I'm sure I could hear James snoring at least once!! I agree, but I guess that just sets it up nicely for a decider in the final meeting? And that's probably all part of the grand plan. Holder will gain nothing from the meeting other than ensuring an Aussie win. Fair play to the Aussies though. They quite entitled to put out their best riders, and I think that should really always be the case. Good luck to the Brits. Fingers crossed that they make the Aussies work damned hard for every point. p.s. Forgot to mention Barker and heat 14. What a ride!! He went into the 3rd/4th turn for the first time on the outside with what appeared to be waaaaaaaay too much speed. Somehow he controlled it to ride the dirt line all the way around the outside and held on for a fantastic win. Move over Charlie Gjedde...there's a new record speed around the bottom turn. srbramble
Good luck to Rob Mear tomorrow. Jason King, on current form, is a good inclusion too. C Chris Holder is only one man. He can't ride in all the heats. England again for me.
21st century heathen
Of course not, but with Troy and Cameron riding as well they should record a huge majority of heat wins. That means the others just need to chip in with 3rd places and the Aussies will be comfortable. It's won on paper though, so I do hope the Brits have a good go at them. Those 3 are strong no doubt, if you compare them with Tai, Wright and Bridger. But the others don't look too special, so if the rest can outscore the aussies remaining riders, it will be close. I'll still take the English! Edited September 10, 2008 by srbramble

We'll stand a better chance if Tai can keep both wheels on the shale and his a$$ in the seat. Thanks for that - looking forward to hopefully making the trip up to this one. Any idea on prices to get in tomorrow night? Is it usual Somerset admission? If it helps - It was usual admission at Monmore on Monday night, so I would guess the same applies to the other meetings. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think we're going to get our a$$ handed to us on a plate in the 3rd as well. Oh well, as long as our boys get stuck in and aren't embarrassed.
