All 14 riders showed guts, determination and excellent styles tonight.

James Wright - Started a bit slowly, but the more the dirt went to the outside the faster he got and was involved in a mumber of close finishes.

Tai Woffinden - Brilliant display in his first three, well kept out in his next although he was going for the same piece of track as Wright a few times. Was comfortable in his last until he fell coming off the last bend.

Edward Kennett - Likes the Wolves track and raced hard. His battle with Batchelor was brilliant.

Ben Barker - After a poor opening ride, he got to grips with the track and rode the wide line to get some big speed and some good passes.

Lewis Bridger - Wild but good. A 3rd to 1st in one swoop was his best move but nearly lost it a few times in his pointless rides.

Josh Auty - Some great rides and like Wright and Barker, he enjoyed the fast outside line. Great pass of the impressive Woodward in heat 7.

Joe Haines - Nearly came from last to first in heat 2 but he and Auty got in each others way early on. A good Wolves 5-1 in heat 8 with Tai and then rode a great race to keep Batchelor out in heat 12 until his bike quit on him on the last lap.

Troy Batchelor - Brilliant racer and some great riding with the Kennett race showing the lad has no fear.

Corey Gathercote - Tried hard and did well in heat 11 to beat Auty.

Ty Proctor - Showed a lot of potential, good race lines and involved in some good battles.

Matt Wethers - In the thick of the action, but his moves to the outside sometimes wrecked his race as he headed towards the fence a few times.

Aaron Summers - Decent performance, nearly held out Haines and Auty in heat 2.

Richard Sweetman - Good heat 2 and rode well. On the pace and showed a lot of potential.

Overall some great racing on a good track and congratulations to all 14 riders on a very good nights racing.

Darcey Ward went out after and looked good.

Great meeting last night, and as we said last night in the pub ....proof that we do not need the big names to have exciting racing.

Have to say, Troy Batchelor has improved so much. Everytime I see him, his style improves and his confidence on the smaller tracks has definety gone up. He really does look like a young Leigh Adams!

A fairly enjoyable affair this one, with alot of the boys on both sides giving it their all.

A pity Tai lost his way a little toward the end, but to his credit a classy performance in his 1st 3, interesting that he came down in the same spot as Jesper B a few weeks ago, seems there's a bit of a problem with that patch.

James Wright was quietly affective.

Eddie did a hell of a lot to help Ben out.

Ben himself was his usual gutsy self

Bridger was great when he was in control but otherwise useless, Lewis was superb on this track not too long ago & needs to learn to calm down, what he was whinging about after his 2nd ride god knows.

Josh & Joe did all that was expected of them.

For the Aussies Cam Woodward was the best on show, Troy was good but Cam was better & i personally felt cheated that Troy wasn't in 15.

Very impressed again with Ty Proctor.

Not alot more to say there except that Sweetman is one for the future.

So all there is to add is 1-0 to the ENGERLAND. :approve:

1) Don't be daft. I've seen riders crash all over Monmore more than once. It doesn't mean there's something wrong with every patch.

2) You didn't see Cameron pull a huge locker and grind to a halt before the appex of the first turn, lap one, then? Lewis had to take action to avoid running straight into him as he went in at normal speed. The heat should have been re-run. He was guilty of over-trying to get back in the race and was clearly angry that he hadn't had the benefit of a re-start. He made up a lot of ground in the latter part of the race, once he'd calmed down. He was a little unlucky to find himself boxed-in on the inside in his last ride. It was too late by the time things opened up a little. Good race though.

2)Must've been busy yapping when that happened matey  .

Looked like yet another dummy out of pram Bridger episode, but fair do's if he was hard done by, as i said he does need a calming influence, desperately.

1) Riders do have incidents at Monmore very often,& mostly there down to rider error, Jesper didn't make an error on that bend the track caused him to pull a locker, same with Tai the track, in the same spot, caused him to lose control, luckily he slid mid track & Cam was able to take evasive action.

Food for thought.

Did we see a future Wolves pairing get a 5-1 in 8?

Now there's a novelty
