Judging by the anger coming out of Scunthorpe in this week's Speedway Star, yes!

(Tai, their ex-star, will ride at the Somerset Test rather than for Rye House at Scunny the same night)

If it is thats a joke, these details have been released in the middle of the season and now we could have Ty Proctor missing a home meeting.

A return test series on Aussie soil wouldn't do the Brits any arm either.

That's deffo something to look at in the Future - perhaps in conjunction with Ozchamps 2010 - who do you know with lotsa motza or the entrepreneurial skills necessary to promote such a show that M.A. hasn't upset recently?

I don't really know BFD but the people behind Mildura and Gillman seem to have a bit of pull ;)

If it were to happen, leave it up to the Dave Parker's and Sedgey's of the world, cause if MA has anything to do with it, it will be a balls up.

Hope to get to a couple of these, Wolves and Swindon.

Is there anymore information on potential line-ups /squads?

Would be good to see an Academy style Young England v Young Australia second half at these tracks. Aussies could track the Sedgmans, Sweetman and Ward for example!

Do these tests take precedent over league matches?

It appears Tai Woffinden will be in all three matches despite Rye House riding on the same night once, however I doubt teams will agree to releasing their riders if they have crucial league matches.

Take the first test at Monmore Green on September 8th.

That night Poole are at Peterborough, so I presume Holder will be at EoES while Somerset will want Jason Doyle at Reading.

With England possibly fielding Woffinden, Kennett, Bridger, Haines, Mear etc at Monmore, I think it will be hard to see the Aussies winning the first test if Holder and Doyle are missing

The Scunthorpe management were very vocal on this subject, a few weeks back. Because of Tais' Rye/scunny connection, it was thought it was going to be their biggest crowd of the season. Apparently, the word is, that he will be riding at Scunthorpe on the 12th, as the GB team manager(I think), stated that they never intended to take riders out of meetings, that clashed with the test matches.

Don't take my word for it, but thats how I understood the situation. However, it would help the fans, if it was confirmed, one way or another.

With 5 Aussies at Glasgow and a further 2 at Edinburgh , i'm just very disappointed that neither of the Scottish tracks were given one of the tests . It would have balanced things up giving Australia a home meeting .

True . Remember the big international we had at Shawfield in 1991 - England v Australia v Sweden . First running lasted about 3 heats  Even back then the rain was intent on making sure we didn't see any speedway .

That was another case of same old same old Paul, because before I went to the meeting I went to the pub in the morning of that Sunday and everyone was in the beer garden as it was scorching and the sun was splitting the trees. Then the clock hit ten to three and the black clouds started rolling in.........see some things never change :approve: ...except for me being young, free and single enough to go to the boozer of a Sunday morning :P
