Academy Meeting At Ipswich Aug 14th

Well,the Poole team are ready.

 

That,despite some underhand manouvres from a couple of the other promotions.

 

I mean,banning 16 year old Kyle Newman for being too old.Bloody jobsworths.

 

I was coming up to support our lads,but not now.

Rayson passed Bovis on bend 2 lap 2. Ward won by the length of the straight.

Heat 05: Rye House Vs Poole. Johnson, Greenwood, Resch (Excluded), Hazelden (Excluded) (RH 0 - 5 PO) IP 8 PO 18 RH 3...64.3

Race stopped. Resch and Greenwood had a coming together on bend 1 lap 2. Resch has been excluded from the re-run along with Hazelden who was not under power as he fell on bend 1 lap 1 but managed to get his bike off the track. Race to be re-run with 2 riders, both Poole, only. Johnson won the re-run by half a lap.

Race stopped. Resch fell bend 3 lap 1 after he had remounted from falling on bend 1 lap 1. Re-Run with 3 riders.

After an earlier downpour it's now lovely and dry at Foxhall with the sun shining.

 

Champion of the Evening is now only 2 heats plus a final. Butler has been seeded directly into the final.

I went to Foxhall and watched this match and enjoyed watching the youngsters have some competitive action. These are the sort of meetings that we need more of in this country if we are ever going to become a top speedway nation again.

 

Australian Darcy Ward looks like an excellent prospect of the future.
