Today it was a fantastic organized competition at Strömsund, the whole club was working very hard to organize the Santa Cup. Perfect looking stadium, normally it is an iceskating area but in the future they will organize more iceracing competition and I definitely think in a couple of years - maybe 2010 or 2011 they`ll organize WM-Qualificationround.

Tomorrow we`ll have a short break. Next competition is on monday 29th december at Bollnäs, 7.00 p.m. first start (I think 6.00 p.m. british time???).

Have a nice evening.

Sweden is one hour ahead of the UK.

I suppose too many beers are out of the question with the price of ale in Sweden?

I make it there should be a run-off for the reserve spot. Not sure what will happen as the Russian forum has Zelepukhin on 9(but with the same totals as me!).Looking on russpeedway.ru it seems Gavrilkhin got 7 not 6 yesterday and 4 not 3 today. So goes through

And Ufa

2.Dmitriy Bulankin (Ufa) 13+(3,3,2,3,ex)11=24

17. Ilya Ruzanov 0+(1)1=1

18. Anton Kovrizhin (Ufa) (DNS)(0,0,)0=0

dead heat between Arkhipov and Krysov.Bulankin excluded for bringing down Baltachev. So no team tactics in that one.Dmitri i guess going for the win against Ivan Ivanov who was also in the heat.Still good to see him back up there in the mix

Maybe get some coverage from the Russian Final.

Found some amateur film from the first quali round in Novosibirisk

.A lot of procesion stuff. The quali wasn't the best and at that stage there is a big difference between the top guys and the lower levels. But it does get better at about 5:30.

And the next Günther Bauer perhaps?

Yes,i was surprised at how few points Dmitri Khomitsevitsch managed. But it is an extremely tough meeting.Probably the hardest two days of the season.Although it seems this time the nominations for the World Championship have already been made.So there is no battle to get through into the World Championship for the lower places.Kononov is a bit dissapointing as well.

Not all Russian nominations for the WC have already been made. As far as i know, only the first 3 from last year have been placed automatically.
