I think the bloke who was filling in the programme at the other end needs to learn to read. I followed the meeting on the speedway-forum.de site and he had Kirchner in second and Max Neidermaier last. I've deleted my original post now anyway.

On yesterdays German Championship he states "It was the easiest Championship i have contested.Either i am so good or the others are so bad.It rode 2 hard laps and when i looked back there was either no-one there or just one rider coming out of the bend"

And on the topic of the German team at Inzell,Günther says "It doesn't interest me who is alongside me in the team.I would be happier if i was alone in the team."He then goes on in both accounts to say the other German riders performances in the World Championship quali rounds leaves a lot to be desired.But they seem to think by getting a 7th place in a middling quality field in say Steingaden is super

Very, very bad news for The Netherlands in the Team Championship in Inzell this weekend.... Johnny Tuinstra has pulled out . He hit a wild pig during his trip to Sanok (Poland) and his van was quite damaged. At the moment he is still somewhere in Poland and he hope to be back home tonight. This means he has way to less time to get to get his bikes and van ready for Inzell.

 

Any info yet on the European Championship..?

 

Well scrap that, Johnny is racing . He's got a other van, thanks to René Verhoef!

Looks like the Russians are the only ones riding as a team, but Zorn is unbeaten. Gunther "No Mates" Bauer has at least vindicated his comments as 16 points says that he is undoubtedly the top German rider and the rest are a long way behind! Both Swedes appear to have fallen in their final race gifting the Austrians a 5-0.

One comment from Jacqueline at the track was the Ice was very soft. Considering she told me it was -5 there today.

Apparently when Korchemakha fell in the semi final 3rd place run off he damaged his hand. The doctors advised against him riding today but he rode in his first heat and then agravated the injury and was forced to withdraw.

Good performance by the Russians, who only dropped a single point today when Franky Zorn split them to get a second.

Superb performance by Zorn only dropping two points - one to Krasnikov and the other to Gunther No-Mates. Franky top scored this weekend which has the Russian forums buzzing that he is doing so well. One Forum even said that he was "the most terrible rival to the Russians"

Bauer also had another good day, only beaten by the Russians, although a better performance by Pletschacher (though not as good as Bauer).

Credit to the Dutch side too who finished fourth today but last overall. Holstein and Stellingwerf showing that they are more than capable of replacing Johnny Tuinstra.

Must say i was very impressed with Sven Holstein and Günthers boy was really getting down low this time.I heard he was lapping at about 65kmh.Klabo nearly decked the race director when on the presentation he was told to ride clean or the ref would have him out.I heard he did have fisticuffs with someone later on.Stefan looked like he wanted to have a bit of argy-bargy after Klabo had him off

I see that our north German rider marian Kreklau has retired from the sport.I heard in Inzell that after the German Championship he sold all his gear.Sadly it is true.
