Sebastian Gegenbauer D (1,2,1,1,1) 6 12. Florian Furst D (ex,1,1,1,2) 5 13. Max Neidermaier (2,0,0,0,0) 2 14. Josef Kreuzberger A (1,0,0,0,1) 2 15. Jussi Hytonen SF (0,0,1,0,0) 1 16. Andrej Divis CzR (0,0,0,1,0) 1 17. Henry Van Der Steen DNR Pretty much decided in the first race this meeting, when the line up was Zorn ®, Bauer (, Akko (w) and Dmitri K. (y) Vitali K dropped points to his brother, Zorn and Bauer Results were done live on the Speedway-Forum.de site which had a great self updating scoresheet! Excellent Stuff! Considering this was originally supposed to be the toughest round, it was pretty predictable on the scoring. Maybe all the changes to the original line up watered down the meeting somewhat. DutchGrasstrack
Well.. I'm back from Ice Racing in Wartena! What a great day, awesome. The organisation did an awesome job, nice little track (about 250 meters). Johnny Tuinstra was even racing there, awesome battles betweem him and Tjitte Bootsma. Small note.. loads of negative words about our "great" federation. Loads of Moto-x/Speedway riders where ready to rock, but they couldn't because they could risk a 2 year ban! And to make to story even "weirder".. Henry van der Steen was allowed to race on a Ice Racing bike, but not on a Speedway bike? . Anyway... roll on Stadskanaal next week... hope the weather stays like this .

DutchGrasstrack
No, Henry van der Steen was racing in Wartena , but he was supposed to race in Saalfelden (as a reserve though).

f-s-p
Wonder if the FIM will take any action against him for not turning up? Nope. But the federation should hear about this for sure.

Thought it looked ok, but he was a bit soft entering the corner... ???

Thought it looked ok, but he was a bit soft entering the corner... ??? Looks that way to me as well.Aakko looks to be with Khomitsevitsch for the first few metres and gives Bauer all the space he needs
Conkers
Got to agree guys, Aakko let Dmitri K cut right across him and was straight to the back. Zorn and Bauer had a goods scrap for a lap or so. Looking at the footage of Franky's other race he was so far in front, this qualifier went to plan. iris123
Looking at the footage of Franky's other race he was so far in front, this qualifier went to plan. Yes.I saw the bit of footage from Steingaden on inspeed(youtube it is on)of a heat of franky's and one of Bauers and it was embarrasing how far in front they were after half a lap.I wonder really why the guy bothered to upload those heats.Surely there must have been a better on or two? Conkers
Draw for World Championship QR at Togliatti 16/17.1.09 1 Jo Saetre (Norway) 2 Heinz Goldi (Switzerland) 3 Ivan Ivanov (Russia) 4 Claude Gaydeyne (France) 5 Joni Kontoniemi (Finland) 6 Stefan Svennson (Sweden) 7 Marian Krekleau (Germany) 8 Hans-Olov Olsen (Sweden( 9 Sven Holstein (The Netherlands) 10 Nikolai Krasnikov (Russia) 11 Janne Vilponen (Finland) 12 Martin Posch (Austria) 13 Ulf Ledstrom (Sweden) 14 Harald Simon (Austria) 15 Tommy Flyktman (Finland) 16 Danil Ivanov (Russia) Reserves: 17 Mikhail Zelepukin (Russia) 18 Sergei Karachintsev (Russia) I was under the impression that Mark Uzzell was to ride in the Togliatti Round. He appears to have been replaced by Claude Gaydeyne. Has the GB place been taken or will we have a rider in Sanok? Mark - Over to you! Due to visa problems I have had to withdraw from Togliatti but everything is in place for Lukhovitsy. Hopefully Kevin Rowand will be joining me. Hopefully Kevin Rowand will be joining me. And i see you will be in Flims with Roger and Graham.Although looking at the heats you don't meet either of them in a Battle of Britain fight Unless you all make it in to the A or B Final .Would love to be at that one.it always looks very evenly matched.Good luck

Hopefully Kevin Rowand will be joining me. Mark was good enough to send a rather helpful e-mail to me last night too. Claude Gaydeyne has taken one of the Swiss slots, whilst the GB slot has been allocated to a German, which is why Marian Kreklau is riding. (Mark believed that Dmitri Tschatschin had his slot) Oh well, typical Russian bureaucracy eh? Good luck in the European Semi Mark!
