Walter William Higgs or Wally as he was known passed away last week at 92 years of age in Mandurah Western Australia

He raced widely in UK mainly for Yarmouth in 1950-1951.

He was very successful at Claremont Western Australia winning Solo and 3/4 Midget Championships a number of times.

Also successfully raced speedboats being 91 ci Australasian Champion.

His blacktrack racing was just as successful with Western Australian Championships in Open wheelers and sports cars.

He designed and built roadracing cars in both race and sportscar forms.

He always spoke well of his UK time and made many friends while there.
