Parsloes 1928 nearly
Also is it a good idea to put this on just before the last gp of the year? I'd rephrase this...: was it a good idea to have the GPs at all this (or indeed any other) year..??!!
SUPERACE
Can't see certain riders taking too many risks with the $200,000 dollar race just 3 days away Crumpy and Adams will go for it no matter what.
21st century heathen
I just hope we have better luck with the weather as the forcast doesnt look good. The forecast within a reliable period has always been very good for Wednesday this week, so not sure where you got that forecast from. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- With Hans and Chris failing to complete the meeting at BV last night I will not expect to see either tomorrow. I can understand Chris struggling to recover. I can't believe he got back on a bike so soon. I didn't see Hans' fall so I'll reserve judgement if he doesn't ride. Watt and Batchelor next in line for a call-up?

youngy105
Metcheck shows sunny all afternoon and the from 7pm onwards, whatever is ????? That little symbol means fair and clear so it should be all systems go, finally, for the 2008 ELRC. Don't be too surprised to see Hans and Bomber withdraw. Bomber withdrew after 2 rides at BV last night and Andersen came off in a nasty looking fall and didn't come out for heat 13. Fully expect the Aces pairing to be there..........otherwise I've got no bugger to cheer.
21st century heathen
Watt may want a rest, didn't he say last night that he has been in bed with the flu? He did, and perhaps you're right. He got through the meeting and rode pretty well though. Tomorrow will have given him another 48 hours to recover. I'm sure he could ride if invited and willing. His style around the outside should make for interesting viewing at Perry Barr. It's not always effective for him but it can be spectacular to watch. The big wide line works at PB, as does the white line for the curb crawlers. Fully expect the Aces pairing to be there..........otherwise I've got no bugger to cheer. Neither have I, but it should be good regardless.

Well a good gauge might be to take a look at the crowd for the GP on Saturday and compare it to how many are at Birmingham tomorrow.

Mr Bee
Taken from Bees website. Harris Out!! BEES skipper Chris Harris has had to withdraw from Wednesday's Elite League Riders' Championship after his injury setback at Belle Vue on Monday. Harris was having difficulty breathing after suffering further damage to his ribs and back when getting out of shape during his first ride at Kirkmanshulme Lane. In his absence from the Birmingham-staged ELRC (7.30pm), Billy Janniro has agreed to deputise. ELRC LINE-UP: Chris Holder (Poole), Jason Crump (Belle Vue), Freddie Lindgren (Wolverhampton), Leigh Adams (Swindon), Billy Janniro (Coventry), Edward Kennett (Eastbourne), Piotr Swiderski (Ipswich), Kenneth Bjerre (Peterborough), Charlie Gjedde (Belle Vue), Jurica Pavlic (Swindon), Leigh Lanham (Lakeside), Bjarne Pedersen (Poole), Danny King (Peterborough), Rory Schlein (Ipswich), Hans Andersen (Coventry), Niels Kristian Iversen (Wolverhampton). So is this also a confirmation that Hans rides. Lets hope so.
Silver Bee
Using the theory of replacements in the first running of this, then unless Andersen isn't there, it shouldn't be Janniro.

Silver Bee
why? Should go to next in line in the averages (watt or Batchelor? Not sure myself, certainly not Jannir000) regardless of what club the next person in line races for.

Watt has a higher average than batch but as he said he feels rubbish on sky, i would think he would turn it down.

rabbit
I can't understand why Bjarne mentioned that he doesn't want to do the GPs next year, but one of the meetings he will concentrate on is this! The ELRC has long been a joke. He's always been an oddity but we love him for it Makes a change though don't you think? Besides, I think his resolve may yet waver about the GPs should he manage to claw that 8th place back on Saturday. Looking at the line-up, it's not the best in terms of names and isn't really in the spirit of the top riders out there, but... there's some exciting riders in there so it could be a cracking meeting. As long as no-one else pulls out that is - it's when the replacements start dipping out, you know you've got problems.
