Spiderweb & Lunchy's Epic Adventures

Recommended Posts

Worrying reports filtering back from Pomgolia that Spiderweb made it to the glorified ranks of Flag Marshal at the Lincolnshire Poacher meeting.

Why do the words "Dracula" and "Blood Bank" spring to mind here?

Yes its true Dave, Afer a superb performance of controlled flag waving at the Gold Cup (I diddnt red flag a pom once)

I was asked (after been fed beer from a cardboard box?) to wave flags at turn one. (for the sidecars)

The first race and a Solo rider overshot the turn and went into the wooden poles and rope fence thankfully I belive she is not to badly injured.

I Pushed about 4 solos off the track mainly broken chains ect and listened to quite a bit of good old English muttering under helmets, when I questioned one rider what was wrong he looked at me in amazement and picking the Aussie accent said what the *** are you doing here!

With the off track start watching six sidecars thunder towards you down a 400 meter straight and only a hay bale for protection it was a test off nerve just to stay in position.

Fantastic experiance and a real eye opener to Grass track.

I must say that Grass track seems to be a 3 day event with hundreds of campervans good people all the riders willing to have a chat and party we were able to camp in the pits ect .

Well the trip is drawing to a close down to the I O W for the second round of the brish sidecar champs then a few family commitments and then home for me.
