fatface
Ditto. A rider who has given many of us some great entertainment over the years. England v USA, Sheffield 83 anyone? Also, from the SS, it sounds like he is trying to get the Collins boys re-united for this one, maybe they'll even take to the track? That would a great way to round off a fine career. Good luck to him.

SUPERACE
Newport are planning on running a bus up to his meeting. Neil was always a very popular Wasp. Maybe Belle Vue could help promote this as he has given us good service over many years.

Main Man
Be nice to see his brother Phil over from USA over. Strangely enough Neil and I were discussing it this morning. IF we can get a sponsor (or as many as possible) to back Phil's air fare Neil really wants him there. We are awaiting a price for this but if anyone out there wants to sponsor this --or towards it --then please e-mail me at : laurencerogers@blueyonder.co.uk Edited June 3, 2008 by Main Man
Main Man
Many thanks to Steve Dixon who has kicked the sponsorship off with a good donation ---thanks Steve. Flier Phil could be on his way !!! trebor.lions
The Leicester Speedway Supporters Club have informed Neil that they will sponsor one of the heats of his testimonial meeting in recognition for the great entertainment he provided as a Lions rider during the 1982/83 seasons. lionheart
Just a little reminder of Neil on song against Ole Olsen at Blackbird Road, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SiiPqEp-aY...feature=related Hope the link works (First tty for me)
Phillip Addison
Great clip, the race against Mitch Shirra is probably even better ! [ Couldnt look at the Fatal Kenny Olsson one, why anyone would want to put that on or even watch it is beyond me but hey, each to their own i suppose ] Hope, Neil has a great day and the weather is kind and the crowd is massive. As others have rightly said a real ' servant' to the sport, a good club man and a very entertaining rider for us fans to watch over the years. I'd love to go to this meeting if possible. Oh and the trademark red neckercheif flapping, i hope thats prominent on the programme cover.
cjr
Am gobsmacked that this has not seen more light, one of a team of great racing brothers, given pleasure to thousands over the years, Edinburgh,Belle Vue,Stoke,Long Eaton,Leicester......the list goes on. Heres hoping he gets a massive turn out, because he deserves it.

Tony Harris
Shame about that. I was thinking of driving up for that. The Collins boys had a long association with us at Cradley Heath.
