Subedei
It appears that the good news for Great Britain is that Russia will be minus Emil Sajfutdinov for the race-off on Thursday, which is bad news for everyone else who wants to watch this rare and precious talent: http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2008/07/...z-saifutdinowa/

Subedei
Very poor scheduling from the FIM, it has to be said. Shocking in fact.

Liverstam
Alternatively, if he had done anything to match what Emil's done so far. And that's not taking anything away from Tai, it's just that Sajfutdinov is unbelievable.

Not taking anything away from the Russian, or is actually Russian, I think I read somewhere that he is not actually Russian, just rides on a Russian licence, just that Subedei seems to think everything is great that Eastern European. BobC
Good job Chris Holder got drawn at Rye House last month No he didnt! He was actually drawn to ride at Gorican. Australia,in their foresight, saw fit to ask for him to be swapped to Rye House. Thus avoiding this very scenario. As has been said, pathetic organising from the FIM. rabbit
Gutted - he was one of the highlights of the first meeting. Shonky organisation by the FIM - how hard was it to leave it another week for the semi?
ylinenhare5-1
Really annoyed that Emil won't be there. He would've made it an even more interesting contest. GB perhaps would've finished last in the race off, if Emil was there. Mind you, that is still a possibility after watching last night! Bobalinks
mind you if Tai had a surname that ended in ov, then we might just have seen you start a similar thread. Just thinking the same. What do you expect from someone who (I think) follows that great GB honed team that is Berwick.

Blazeaway
Many on this forum that wish Subtheoracle would pack his bags and feckov! And many appreciate and agree with much of what he has to say (although not always). Just because someone has a different opinion to you, you think he shouldn't be on here? I am gutted Emil will be missing on Thursday was looking forward to him showing Fat boy Nicholls the way home. Instead will have to listen to Pearson orgasming every time the young Aussie comes out to ride. (thank heavens for the mute button)
ylinenhare5-1
Give it a break! Hes just informing us that Emil won't be riding on Thursday, which I agree is a tremendous loss. What a talent that lad is - anyone that can boss Crump about the track and win, is some rider.
stevebrum
What a great pity for the Russians and the world stage then. The lad is a precious talent and its looks like we could sneak 3rd now after all
srbramble
Absolutely gutted. I was looking forward to seeing his race with Woffy, for one. Every time I see his name in a line up, I get tingles up my spine. I was made aware of Emil at last season under 21 semi at Rye. THE most exciting prospect in the world of speedway at the moment. I even put him just slightly above Tai, simply because of his determination to win, when he misses a gate, and the sheer effort he seems to put into every metre of a 4 lap race. Agree that some of his views are interesting and informative, but many are just patronising toward other forum members. Was merely a tongue in cheek comment (couldn't resist the 'ov' weapon) and I'm sure Mr Sub will retort in true Subby fashion. He's thicker skinned than a walrus with an underactive thyroid! Anders
As has been said, pathetic organising from the FIM. Indeed. Just as bad as planning the WTC qualifying round (Team USA) the same weekend as the Grand Prix on Ullevi, with the effect of Greg Hancock missing that WTC qualifier in Hungary. It's sad about Sajfutdinov, I had really been looking forward to see him on Thursday.

ylinenhare5-1
Hopefully the youngest Laguta brother gets his visa sorted this time, as he will be an okay replacement. Don't count your chickens yet, team GB!!
