The only thing good about the local area was a Pizza place not far from the stadium which baked Pizza's that were too big to go through the fron door faceup!!(The Aussie Haunt I believe!)

whilst i agree with your last point middlo, and respect your loyalty to your riders, you have to accept the paying public's right to comment, and you would be naive to assume that a lack of hands on experience precludes us from ever being in the right

Exactly playing the old " you've never ridden a bike , therefore you cant comment " is as contemptable as it is pathetic .

I've never ridden a speedway bike , but i've watched it for about 40 years and that was the worst British performance i've ever seen .

I don't need to have sat on a bike to realise how badly we under-performed last night . And we better get the finger out sharpish before we are down with the minnows of world speedway .

Have you thought about asking Matt Ford to look it up? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the last time I checked there wasn't a single British rider wearing the Poole kevlars this season. And how often are the junior run-outs at Wimborne Road cancelled at short notice?

After last night, all I can say is thank God!! Probably why we're sat atop the league and the teams including all those from last night aren't! Anyway, that has absolutely nothing to do with this subject Sube and you know it. Stop trying to stir more than you are already!

The sooner rosco is put in we can go back to winning ways.

Is 'Team GB' really that desperate?.... I suppose they are :D

I'm afraid I don't completely buy the argument that a manager can only work with what's he got. The manager has an important role in deciding the team make-up and then motivating those who are picked. It's not always about picking the best, but recognising those with uptapped ability, commitment, and interest in improving.

Both Brian Clough and Martin O'Neill are examples of managers who could/can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. The same with Guus Hiddink at international level.

50% of people will be disappointed tonight - the other 50% will be delighted as they can now say all along that GB are crap etc etc. Tonight was extremely poor - Thursday will quite possibly be just as bad - but not as bad as if they actually get to the final on Saturday!!

I think that people were disappointed with the performance, however I cannot say it was unexpected. I thought GB would have come second, I never thought they could beat Denmark, but as it goes 2nd and 3rd both get to the race off, regardless of how they performed.

In my opinion, I think the wrong decision was made to go with the track specialists. I have no experience of riding, and no experience of track prep, however as a fan I believe that the track specialists would ride the track how they are used to in League racing, regardless of how the set up was last night.

Of course there will be Brits supporting GB regardless of their performance last night. The Poles support Poland because they are Polish, the Swedes support Sweden because they are Swedish...Half the Brits support Britain Because they are British, the other half support Denmark because they are the favourites to win and glory hunters don't want to be seen supporting a team like GB.

Back to the manager situation, would it have been possible to have a team manager who makes the decisions, then someone to motivate riders in the pits? Surely someone like David Norris, who is respected by the riders as someone who was a rider and seems to have the passion that managers often do not have.

It's a lot easier for the manager of a football team to bring in young talent.

They can throw an unproven youngster into a squad of 14 or 15 players, throw them out onto the pitch with 10 others to look after him.

In this game (especially the SWC) you go out onto the track on your own!!!

This week, all JL is going to make out of a sow's ear is a sow's ear!

Oh sorry I didnt realise I was not allowed an opinion!! Oh and the knockers on the forum dont try and tell riders, management what to do.Please!!!

Just because i stick up for the riders through thick and thin and always will I am sorry if that does not agree with some people. Its called patriotism...look it up.

Some people on this forum should hang their heads in shame the amount of cr*p they spout about riders, managers, promoters etc is truly laughable.

There are some great knockers on this forum.

Totally agree Blazeaway, I will still be rooting for the lad's on Thursday. The majority of the knockers are Brit's who support Danes, Aussie's etc, etc. It's pathetic. As you know from Leszno, they love Leigh Adams but he was not their favourite that night and why should he be. The Poles support the Poles first and I absolutely agrre with that.
