spin king
Was thinking the same, I'm just enjoying how good people must think we are Seriously, I only think Sheffield are being tipped because, apart from Smethills who would probably have been reserve, we haven't had any injuries to threaten this, and with no foreign riders having overseas commitments this weekend, we are actually sending our 4 strongest riders, unlike a lot of teams! Quite possible, but even with others with weakened teams, I think that we might struggle to get past the qualifying stages.
King Jamie
Top three to be Sheffield, Edinburgh and Somerset. can't possibly happen

Swings and roundabouts I'm afraid. Well Done to Workington - mind you they only won cos it was at Derwent Park
tigerblues
Ahh what's the point Not sure why I had even the slightest hope of Sheffield doing anything but I'm a bit disappointed. As the Tigers 4 no doubt collaborated with the management on the excuse to give the fans, meanwhile the fans that were there must have had a treat.. close final, last heat decider and then a run off. Well done Workington, don't go on about the home track crap because it's boring, they lost Nermark and Wright did well even though it is his home track. Little Joe seemed to score well too but had engine problems looking at the updates? Nemo and Stoney did the business as per and as expected it seems. Also well done to Kings Lynn and Somerset for their rostrum places, and Scunny for coming through as underdogs and making the final. EDIT - my home track advantage comment, I hadn't seen the post by Bagpuss (which was said tongue in cheek if I've interpreted correctly) so it wasn't a dig at said poster, just a generalisation Edited July 26, 2008 by tigerblues
Midnight_Lady
Congratulations to Worky. Frampton's puncture looks like it cost Somerset the title which is very hard lines.

Mimmo
*Changes Prediction* Congratulations to Workington on your win tonight, minus the services of the injured Daniel Nermark. Commiserations to King's Lynn, weekend by the absence of Rusty Harrison and Kozza Smith, who put up a tremendous showing and finished level with the home side on 20-points. Kauko Nieminen beat Tomas Topinka in a run-off for the title.

Bagpuss
aye, bottled it when it mattered. what a hero Very different in a 1v1 race off, as Adams & Hampel showed in the SWC. Make the wrong choice on the first bend and its curtains, especially to someone as good as Nemo round DP. Tomas still a hero in my eyes, has been superb this season.
