spin king
Maybe this will be the rare occasion that the Sheffield top four hit form all at the same time, got to say though I am not very confident.
ajh
I don't think that we are consistent enough to win, I still think that Lynn have the strongest 4, although you cannot rule out Edinburgh. Well if Lambert is replacing Harrison as rumoured then without any disrespect to Simon it will weaken our lineup. Lambo failed to score at Workington from three rides when riding at 7 earlier in the season. However his form has really picked up since then, especially away from home. Hope we can make the final and then see what happens from there. For me Edinburgh look to have a really solid quartet. THJ seems to do really well on the big tracks, was great at Lynn and shone by all accounts at Sheffield so Workington should suit him. Remember Stormy having a really good performance during his spell for Lynn at Workington. However for me Sheffield have got the big track knowledge and big event experience. Neck on the line, I'm going for Sheffield, Edinburgh, Lynn and Scunthorpe though that's assuming no Stoney or Henry riding

Scunny Stag
I have just informed me that the A66 is closed near to Penrith due to a fatal accident. RAC Travel confirms it is currently closed both ways near to Temple Sowerby (about 5 miles East of Penrith)
frankie
Here's the good news from www.getnoticedonline.co.uk "Carl Stonehewer suffered an ankle injury in a crash last night while guesting for Edinburgh Monarchs but has announced himself ready to ride tonight at Derwent Park. He had a hospital X-ray examination after the meeting and although nothing is broken, may have some ligament damage. Workington team, manager Ian Thomas said: “He’s in a bit of pain this morning but wants to ride in the meeting tonight. He has seen Doc Butler and feels that the normal speedway boot doesn't give him enough protection. "He's going through to Wulfsport to try and find an appropriate Moto-X boot which he will use in the Fours."

ylinenhare5-1
Glad Stoney is riding and it is just ligament damage. Still must be very sore though, so hope he can do the business for Worky tonight. So glad it wasn't any worse..........feared the worst when we seen him on the stretcher last night. Hoggy
A66 closed in both directions at Temple Sowerby, very long delays and unlikely to re-open for some times Edited July 26, 2008 by Hoggy
gailo
Just been on our local news that the road will possibly be closed till late afternoon, traffic is heavily congested and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Lioness
sadly there are around 20 injured - its a collision between a bus and a car and they had to use air ambulance. Can't see it opening anytime soon and anyone thinking on using that route would probably be wise to avoid it even if it means a lengthy detour

Subedei
If anyone is going via the A66, they're probably best turning off at Brough and heading through Kirkby Stephen to pick up the M6 just north of Kendal.
