[/quote It's walkable from the town, near the outskirts, i did see a bus heading down there as i was driving. Stayed at the hotelsport, right next door to the impressive ice hockey stadium. 10 mins form station, 5 mins form square. Some friends of mine are going, but had trouble getting rooms in pardubice that weekend, so are staying 30 mins up the road at hdarec kralove. <i hope i spelt that right> Edited July 3, 2008 by spanner47

Couple of options I stayed in Hotel Euro last year which was full of speedway people around 5 minute walk from the town and not too far from the track but I would not want to walk from the town to the track. It has a night club across the road http://www.hoteleuro.cz/hotel-euro-pardubice-en.htm Other option is Pension ZelenZaba (Green Frog), its above a sports bar. We ate there last year and it looked good http://www.zelenazaba.cz/ Edited July 3, 2008 by Chris Brown
Mad Mitch
If you Google Pardubice there is a mass of info on the town. Most usefull www.mesto-pardubice.cz/en then select Accommodation. There are buses that run past the track but it takes about 30 mins from the town centre, 10 mins by car and a taxi shouldnt bust the bank. Just over an hour from Prague by train and the fares dirt cheap compared to ours. Its about 2 hours drive from Prague Airport to Pardubice. Last year they sold tickets online for the speedway, you can also buy them at the tourist office, but we just get them at the track. Its about 6 Kms town to track. Accommodation may be a problem this year as its the 60th Czeck Golden Helmet, with the World Junior & Czeck Golden ribbon a 3 day Extravaganza of Speedway. Indeed if you plan right you can fit in 6 Top meetings in 7 days. Hope this is a starter for 10. PS. on page 2 of this section there is a thread "World U 21 Czech Golden Helmet" Edited July 3, 2008 by Mad Mitch

I would therefore suggest walking boots and rucksack bcause you are certainly having a laugh as it takes over half an hour on the bus!! Reply to Gary Popps, Hi Gary, I have been going to Pardubice for 10 years and have spent a lot of time there. The track is situated about 15 minutes by bus from the town centre, in the suburb of SVITKOV (Pardubice 6). It is easy enough to get to and from the track by bus, I can find out exact details for you later. As far as hotels go, the riders stay at hotel Labe, on Masarykova nam. This will cost you about £60.00 a night when the speedway is on. Plenty of smaller hotels around. Look up Pardubice on google and you should get the details. If you need any general info on Pardubice, let me know and I will try to help. Cheers Tony (Mozeman-2008)

Brown water from the taps is just the start
Debbi
The Labe is well known for it's "Ladies of the night" (or should that be any time of the day!!!), also rumoured not to be the best for security with people being robbed during the night so I would only use this as the very last resort unless of course you like that kind of thing!
