Well I paid £32.30 2008 and 2009 the same tickets are £35, ok with discount this reduces to £32 but that's not what was stated. Anybody else found this or is it only my seats? Block U29 by the way. Copied from SGP website The 2009 FIM British Speedway Grand Prix will take place at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium on 27 June 2009 and fans who book their tickets before the 01 September 2008 will get up to 10% off 2008 prices! The organisers are getting almost a full years interest on the money paid for them, for no outlay at all. The purchaser of course loses the interest on that outlay. Of course advance sales and discounts are part of all events and promotions but this does seem a bit excessive - surely the tickets needn't be on sale until the New Year ? I always buy early because I like to be in a similar place to the year before. 2008 we were on row 2. This time they are already on row 7 so someone must be buying tickets early. I knew I shouldn't have waited until the end of the Lakeside v Coventry match but I was so enthralled with the Bees efforts I couldn't bear to leave the T.V. I've never had tickets more than a week before the event, and I've always paid less than the ticket price. There's lots of options....discount from a promoter desperate to get rid of his allocation...someone who's won spare tickets in a newspaper competition and wants to get rid...some silly sod who bought tickets a year in advance and then finds they can't go...even ebay or the touts in the streets. Unless it's going to be a sell-out there's no point in shelling out money a year in advance for a measly 10& discount.
