Trees
Is this definitely Ove racing at the Firs? http://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/content/Vid...peedwayOld.aspx
BobC
Sadly, not the Firs. The action is from Wimbledon.
25yearfan
The track is much to tight to be the Firs and the stadium looks far too plush as well! I'd say its Plough Lane Wimbledon.
star ghost
Definitely not. I have emailed the paper with the details some time back. Norwich had a board fence, no wire. I think the film was at an Internationale meeting And there was nothing wrong with The Firs. It was a Speedway track, not a glorified palace
KenB1
If you want to see what the Firs was like, there is 30 mins of film (In Colour)on the Days Gone By Vol 8, DVD. Available from me at T2TV.
25yearfan
Nothing wrong with the Firs at all except it no longer exists! Just saying that Wimbledons Plough Lane stadium was more plusher if there is such a word!
Bobbin' Along
Never mind about the stadium - look at the crowd! You can almost hear promoters all over the country sobbing....
martinmauger
If you want to see what the Firs was like, there is 30 mins of film (In Colour)on the Days Gone By Vol 8, DVD. Available from me at T2TV. I have Vol 5 of this series which is very good, but any chance you have anything of Hull Angels, Hedon from 1948/49? (He asks without much hope!)...
