o.k. m08,

it is not that I am generally against making noise with horns, why not use some that You have to blow Yourself, or klaxons etc, that CAN be fun and add to the atmosphere, I have to agree, BUT the air horns at Cardiff, especially when under a closed roof, are definitely too loud. There have been so many complaints about that in the past, it is a fact. For me it is too much, simply too loud, I can't snad it for hours.

There was asimilar thing with the way too loud music they played at the Gelsenkirchen GP last year. Some thought it was great and added to the atmosphere, but again I found it too loud. I can take it if it was just a few times during the GP but it was going on and on and on.

Don't want to sound too negative, though, the GP's in general are great events, and I love them.

I often go to ice hockey in the winter and the fans have drums, even trumpets, and they sing and shout all through the the game.

 .....Heaven forbid fans start taking drums! I've heard them at some football matches abroad and all that repetitive drumming would drive me mad. I'm afraid if anyone sat next to me banging a drum they'd soon find it smashed over their head.

You can't use Airhorns at the snooker

And what's wrong with snooker anyway - it's top television. Beats boring bloody tennis any day.

All the best

Rob

I assume you never watched that epic match today then.

Seemed quite a few Airhorns in attendance at Silverstone today, wonder if they were ripped off for £8 by the promoters, under the ruse of non inflammable health and safety.

Checked my half full cannisters, 2 inflammable and 2 non inflammable.

Just got back from the local motor accessories shop and got 2 spanking new non inflammable ones for £8.99 each :shock: .

A bit late for this years GP obviously, but I got my non-inflammable air cannisters from Halfords @ £9.99 each.

Depends on your definition of ripped off :blink: - and given the hyper inflated F1 GP prices I would imagine that £8 would be more like £10 yesterday

Funny thing about those airhorn thingys . I personally dont mind them at Cardiff , when there's hundreds of them going off at the same time . But when you get a lone numpty, at a league match, stood next to you - you just want to take it from them and stick it where the sun dont shine .
