M08
I took a shoulder bag in last year and didn't get checked. Not that I was going to bomb the place anyway, but I did have a few bottles of drink in there and a bit of food.

*Trace*
you could always try. depends if you mind if it gets confisgated or not. i'm torn between the compulsion to rebel n common sense telling me that i've got hardly any gas left in the one i bought last year..... M08
One of 3 reasons why my family don't go anymore is because of the Airhorns. Why don't they take some earplugs? I took some of these last year, and they were fine. They did hand out some crappy pink ones last year, not sure about last night, but they were about as useful as a chcolate fireguard. Gemini
One of 3 reasons why my family don't go anymore is because of the Airhorns. Perhaps the other two reasons will have more substance. Easy way to get round the noise of airhorns is to use ear plugs so that's not a problem. Personally I love all the noise and airhorns are what generate all the atmosphere at Cardiff. John Leslie
Perhaps the other two reasons will have more substance. I bet it's.. 1. Those noisy Polish fans, and 2. The terrible noise that those pesky bikes make.
goosebump
i dont agree with banning them from stadium, it all adds to atmosphere BUT i think banning them from the streets before the meeting is a good idea as on numerous occasions i was stood outside a pub speaking to people and it wasnt easy

HBKPCNBob
They always say they've banned airhorns, every year, we always have this discussion a day or two before Cardiff. They won't stop you taking them in. Wrong So many people I saw forced to waste theres outside the gates and then put'em in the big wheelie bins after
iand
Mentioned on the night about it not being as loud as in previous years, not complaining, remembered this year to take ear plugs but never used them.
paulr
Wrong So many people I saw forced to waste theres outside the gates and then put'em in the big wheelie bins after i never got stopped - and I had a backpack as well - nor did I see anyone at gate 5 entrance get stopped. Maybe it was just in the sections where they knew the troublemakers would be.......

21st century heathen
If anybody went to Gelsekirchen last year , you will remember they did the same there and the atmosphere in the Stadium was.....AWFUL..the lack of atmosphere made us decide not to go back this year..So we will have to use those things that you blow in..... It was a bit flat after Right Said Fred had finished. Believe it or not Sandie took her Gelsenkichen blowy thing to Cardiff this year. They always say they've banned airhorns, every year, we always have this discussion a day or two before Cardiff. They won't stop you taking them in. Yes, I remember this concern being raised since 2001. There's also a ban on food and drink, umbrellas and number of other things. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some people were queueing to have their bags searched when we got to the stadium this year. There was another security chappy less than 10 feets away with no queue. We simple walked past him with him simple glancing at us. We must have all looked pure, sweet and innocent. Why people were queueing is still a mystery though.
lucifer sam
Why don,t you try Snooker. You can't use Airhorns at the snooker And what's wrong with snooker anyway - it's top television. Beats boring bloody tennis any day. All the best Rob
Bavarian
I must say that I hate these air horns. If anything, they spoil the atmosphere. Why oh why can't You see that it is much more fun for everyone involved to sing and chant for Your favorite riders. Air horns are just for the lazy bones, just push the button and be louder than anyone around You. I am sure the atmosphere would be even better if those fans would open their mouth instead of just playing that little gas bottle. Here in Germany we had those airhorns as well, but a few years ago the selling of those with the gas was banned. They were found to cause damage to the ozon layer and were banned for that reason. I am happy , nobody misses them. If You want bring musical instruments instead, I often go to ice hockey in the winter and the fans have drums, even trumpets, and they sing and shout all through the the game. THAT creates an atmosphere, I can tell You, not those stupid air horns that only get on Your nerves.
