Correct, Anders, but I dont know if they count in the same way as the do in the GP. But its great that the our best juniors, THJ, Billy and Simon, made it to the final. But interesting is yhat none of them made it to the World U21-final, the only one who did was Ludvig who didnt qualify for the Ind Swe final. Anders
Thanks fluffy, Anyone know where. It's held in Avesta. /when how to get there. Or is there regular league racing in Goteborg? Please any help would be useful as i'm hoping to book a flight tied in with a good meeting for August. Yes, it would probably be Hammarby. Flight buses and/or train operates from both Stockholm/Arlanda or Stockholm/Skavsta (Nyköping). Arriving to Stockholm Central, then take the subway line which stops at "Gubbängen", a five minutes walk (I believe) to the Hammarby home track. Zetters or Liverstam should be able to confirm the estimated time from the "Gubbängen" subway station? That's for Elitserien anyway, but if you fly to Stockholm/Skavsta airport which is outside Nyköping (1 hour south of Stockholm), then Griparna in Allsvenskan league will be the best. The team actually is from Nyköping at have home meetings on August 7th at 19:00 hrs and 28th at 18:00 hrs. Reaching most other track by public transportation may be a bit harder if you aren't hiring a car...? BTW, there are no league racing in Goteborg nowadays. Sadly. Liverstam
Quite right Anders. It's about 20 mins on the subway from Stockholm Central to Gubbängen and then a 5 minute walk to the track from there.
speedway2006
Have just booked my flights, car rental and hotel for a trip to the Swedish Championships and am looking forward to coming over. Always enjoy my trip to Sweden. Am flying into Nykoping then driving upto Avesta and staying at the Best Western Hotel. It will be my first time at Masarna. Is anybody else making the trip over from the UK? Does anyone know what the ticket arrangements are for the 2 days? It looks as though you may be able to buy a ticket for all 3 meetings although i may have got this wrong.

I went in 2006 and bought tickets (covering all 3 meetings) via the net (Ticnet - Swedish Ticketmaster). They can be collected from ATG agents (these are mainly newsagents even small towns have them so they are easy to find). Although at present Ticnet only lists the Swedish GP - I'm sure our Swedish contributors will be able to give more reliable info. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. You get three very different meetings and get to see some interesting riders you may not have watched before. (And in 10 years time you'll be able to say I saw xx when he was still riding 50cc bikes. Anders
The U16 80cc championship usually is very good entertainment. Should be a fight between Victor Palovaara and Jacob Thorssell for the title but several riders are dark horses for a rostrum finish, Joel Larsson of Dackarna as well as home riders Söderholm, Nielsen and Armendariz. I'm looking forward to it!

Last years saturday BIG Final I remember You was tired and angry over everything and The Bajen-boss don´t do it better for You;) Well I guess that's correct, I wasn't at my very best that weekend. This year in Avesta You have 2 man in Pete Ljung and Thomas H Jonasson in the field and both have a chance to go Up on the rostroom, aren´t they?? Lindgren, Davidsson and Jonsson looks a likely top three but they (Ljung & Jonasson) do ride well in Avesta so they could take a place in the Last Chance heat. Guess anything can happen from there. Cheers and congratulation to the Victory over BLACKSMITH´S:( Thanks! That first away victory is finally out of the way.
