Just to keep the thread alive

The line-up for the first of the two semi's, from Motala in Sweden...home to the Pirates

1. Peter Karlsson SWE

2. Mads Korneliusen DEN

3. Jonas Davidsson SWE

4. Dave Watt AUS Slight error of judgment made by Mr Watt. Excluded from meeting. Replaced by Kenneth Bjerre DEN

5. Matej Ferjan HUN

6. Tobias Kroner GER

7. Simon Stead ENG

8. Tomasz Jędrzejak POL

9. Daniel Nermark SWE

10. Niels-Kristian Iversen DEN

11. Ales Dryml CZE

12. Edward Kennett ENG

13. Daniel King ENG

14. Adrian Rymel CZE

15. Grzegorz Walasek POL

16. Rory Schlein AUS

reserve

18. Martin Smolinski GER

I think Walasek is the 'home-track' rider. If he makes it to the Final, it's gonna be held on his home Polish track, Zielona Góra !

Motala's not a big track or a trick track, but you do need great engines.

Top 8 go through to the Final in a couple of months time.

Daniel Nermark and Jonas Davidsson has to be counted as hometrack riders aswell. Nermark do ride for Solkatterna (PL Team) but also rides for Piraterna thanks to farming agreement between Piraterna and Solkatterna.

Piraterna was were Jonas started his career since he is from Motala and he should know the track as a hometrack.

All 3 Brits fail to qualify from Motala  , up to Richardson and Howe now to at least get one in the Final.

Is it likely that the amount of places offered to GB in the qualifying for next year will be reduced if we continue to make no progress?

Only one point for Tobi  oh well he did beat Rory! :P

Sorry to read that Davey missed out tho, but good on him for putting his club first, not that travelling early did Rory or Simon any favours!

that is very true. but at least they got the chance. we'll never know if davey would have qualified now.

But he did have his chance, and he blew it !

I'm honestly not being funny, but you make out he's some kind of victim. He made a choice, took a gamble and got it wrong.

i'm not trying to make it sound like he's a victim, perhaps i should have worded it differently!!

just meant its a shame his flight got delayed and couldn't make it on time, so he could have his chance to qualify like everyone else.

Very disappointing that Stead, Kennett or King couldn't get through against riders of the caliber such as Jedrezak, Nermark and Davidsson who are riders they can beat comfortably on other tracks.

Gutted for Watty, he would have won this.
