Fiala
Practice is NOT compulsary. Plus Cardiff to Somerset is only just over an hour, maybe 2 hours on a Friday afternoon. So he can ride. .... but dont the riders have to "sign in" on Friday whether they practice or not and presumably they cannot be released between practice and the GP itself to ride in another event. With Neath & Ekberg confirmed as our pairing this must be the case!!

As a Rye supporter I am very disapointed that Tai won't be there but it seems to me that speedway once again shoots itself in the foot for two reasons. 1. The hottest property in British speedway isn't riding and for what reason? Tai Woffindens presence at this meeting was being looked forward to by most supporters I would think. To not have him riding will cost the BSPA a good deal of supporters. 2. Not to have Kings Lynn represented when they would clearly be one of the favourites is ridiculous. I'm sure it will be a good meeting because of the great venue but it would have been a hell of a lot better with Woffinden / KL pairing included. I agree with you about Tai 100%, and on one hand I agree about the KL pairing, it's called the best pairs and I think ALL teams BEST PAIRS should be included, but that is IMO. However, rules were set and sadly we did not do well enough to be included. I wish all the teams taking part good luck and may the best pair win. marron
I haven't seen any advertising regarding buying the tickets in advance like last year, was this scrapped for this years event? Edited June 13, 2008 by marron
Najjer
Us Somerset fans won't complain about not seeing Tai, we get to see him next Friday in the Exmoor Chase I haven't seen any advertising regarding buying the tickets in advance like last year, was this scrapped for this years event? I bought mine last night at Somerset. However, unlike last year when I was issued with an actual Super7even ticket, I was given a 'card' which I must exchange for a proper ticket on the night of the pairs. Firestorm
OK its on the off chance...... anyone coming back from the OTA in the direction of Swindon after this meeting? Would be prepared to contribute for petrol, etc Its just I can get down there but I can't get back as trains are crap and I would be left with the delightful prospect of a 5hr wait at Bristol Temple Meads...... RedcarRacer
James Grieves has pulled out of this meeting with Ty Proctor replacing him - wont help us progress but we could be more entertaining Jimmy doesnt like it in the Lakes! With Neath & Ekberg confirmed as our pairing this must be the case!! Neath and Allen now!!! Now that Stefan Ekberg has broken his collar bone, Rye House should do the decent thing and withdraw from the pairs. Kings Lynn should replace us. marron
Dont get me wrong, they have a very good chance but nothing's for certain - espescially since they had Zorro last year and still never won.
