Czech Hotel For Gp Help Needed Please

Recommended Posts

Loads of hotels if you are looking for somewhere cheap have a look at pensions, they are like a 1* hotel but clean and ok to get your head down. Not sure how you get to the track direct from the airport but its easy getting the bus/underground into the centre then the tram to the track.

Two I have stayed at

Pension Klara in Holsevice, not far from Sparta and a straight 10 minute tram ride from Marketa and 5 mins from cnetral Prague. The owner Karol speaks perfect English

Also stayed at Hotel Andel on the other side of town by the Staropramen brewery but also a straight tram ride

Pension Klara is really good value though

the Andel is posh!!!

It was voted by the Teplegraph (I think) one of the top ten hotels in 2006.

We had a suite in the Andel for 5 of us and it worked out at very good value. And I still have my Andel slippers!!!!!

Area 1 is centre of Prague - for drinking and shopping etc and the numbers get bigger as you head out of the Cente

The Andel was certainly an excellent hotel...we loved it there and would plan to stay there again if we ever got the chance to go back.

Hi, I am thinking of going to the Czech GP this year and wondering if anyone has got any advice on where is nice to stay in prague that is cheap but ok for one night.

Also how far is the track from the airport ?

Thanks

Not that cheap but close to the track we always stay at the Pyramida. this wll be our fourth year.

Short tram ride and if have one over the top you could walk it.

Cheap beer and food across the road.

Excellent breakfast and some of the riders use it if that makes a difference.

Cant wait.

Stayed at Pension Klara a few years ago, basic but cheap & would recommend it if you're on a budget.

Tram stop directly into main centre virtually outside the door, nice cheap local pub accross the road. Have they got that lift installed yet though? Remember that flight of stairs being a mamouth climb, especially after a few pivo's.

Have have stayed in apartments when I have been. I guess it only works out good value if there a reasonable sized group of you. Far more choice though.

Both times we have stayed a 5 minute walk (when drunk) from the main square just past Tescos (a great supermarket, bottles of beer for 10p, amazing)
