Steve Shovlar
Just been announced that the British GP will be broadcast on SS1HD in HD! Great news and about time!
Diesel
I'll have to Sky+ it and watch it the day after just to sample the HD goodness.
Odds On
I'm pretty certain last Saturdays GP was in HD?...people will only see the difference in quality with a decent and compatible tv.

Last Saturday's GP was recorded in HD (Don't know about transmitted in HD though) and was shown on the temporary HD screen that was in use at Ullevi after the stadium screen failed on the Friday. Steve I have sky and + but not HD. Does this mean it will not be transmitted on my Sky system then?
21st century heathen
You will need a HD tv and Sky HD box. Hopefully more will follow. I might just have to put my hand in my pocket. *scoots off to see how much the box is these days* *edit* The robbing b@$&@^#$. £30 set up for new customers. £60 set up for exisiting customers. Rob B
So did anyone watch it in HD? was it much better then SD or not much difference?
richsimpson
Yes the footage was crystal clear. Will be saving that one on the box to compare to the other GP's that are just being upscaled to HD rather than being filmed/transmitted in true HD. I think they said the world cup at Cov will also be in HD at the end or possibly on Mondays Sky match?
