Ghostwalker
The way Pearson was talking in the final, I thought Lindgren had won it until the graphic came up saying Holta had won it. I didn't think we were ever going to hear what Andreas' condition was. It took ages to get the news, and even then Chris Louis wasn't sure. well if you had been at the update site you would have know what his condition were since swedish viewers had inside information from AJs dad via Swedish commentators. SuzieQ
I can only think shovlar thinks gollob rides for poole that can be the only reason he is defending him, if you look at the replay gollob looks to see where AJ is then turns left down the straigh plain dirty The amount of times I have watched the replays now and even had my extremely unbiased and totally unbothered about speedway husband of mine watch it and he says the same as me, Gollob moved to the left but Jonsson was pulling towards the right, obviously (well not that we are mind readers) planning on sweeping around the outside of Gollob going into the bend! As Steve says, he clipped Gollobs back wheel, racing incident! Personally I don't have much time or support for either of them so I am not biased one way or the other! orion
Everyone has their own opinion and I watched it as much as anyone else. Think Tatum and Co gave their call and others have agreed. I personally didn't and thought it was just a racing incident and unfortunate that the riders touched, causing a very horrific crash. Gollob was leading. He can go where he likes. Hope AJ is OK. Where does it say in the rule book that you can go where you like if your in front ? if your in front on the inside you would not be able to goto the outside and knock someone over the fence would you ? total bull when people say that. Peter
so the winner is......??? I don't know thanks to Pearson. If the graphic is right, Pearson was stupid by confusing everyone. He said Lindgren would win even if he didn't win the race because he had scored more points on the night.
Steve Shovlar
The winner is surely Holta, as he won the final. He might not have scored as many points ( which add up for the title at the end of all rounds) as Lindgren but he won the meeting.

BritPete
Gollob was very lucky not to be excluded in that race. He was mad when the race was stopped and he gesticulated his anger to the referee, in spite of the fact that another rider was down and receiving treatment. In the re-run his madness continued, and he turned into to Jonsson in a crazy fashion. Sheer lunacy, and he was the one that should have been booted. I just hope that the unfortunate Jonsson is ok. T.N.T.
Not too sure, but Freddie finished with 22 pts compared to Holta's 17 and I believe this year they are giving top spot to the highest scorer and not the final winner. I may be wrong, but as the scores are now carried forward, this is the way they are doing it now. Holta qualifies for the GP Super Race though for definate

Think you will find Gollob was gesticulating to the ref not about the race being stopped, but because another rider had fallen because of the bad shape the track was in and he wanted a major grade. The commentators read his anger incorrectly. Edited May 24, 2008 by Steve Shovlar

Paulco
Why bother with a final then? Exactly . I was sure Pearson was just talking crap , but are we now saying the winner of the Grand Final was not the winner of the GP .
BritPete
hink you will fiond Gollob was gesticulating to the ref not about the race being stopped, but because another rider had fallen becaus eof the bad shape the track was in and he wanted a majot grade. The commentators read his anger incorrectly. Maybe, maybe not, but that does not excuse the horrendous move that Gollob pulled on Jonsson. T.N.T.
Why bother with a final then? With double points, the chances are the winner of the final will be the biggest scorer anyway. This is the first time its happened, nut whoever is declared winner, Well Done Freddie on a great nights work and a near perfect night.
