Tsunami
Gollob was leading. He can go where he likes. Hope AJ is OK. That's just not true and an urban myth. A leading rider cannot just turn left, or even right, on a following rider. He has to be deemed to be the cause of the stoppage and would then be excluded. Guest Schumi
Notice I did start with NOT TOO SURE !!!! Cheers anyway Schumi for the vote of confidence The rule book: Positions 1 to 4 in the final classification will be according to the result of the Big Final (heat 23). tarabanko
Agreed, surely you guys have proper racetracks that can hold 20k people??? Yes, Eskilstuna can if it is rebuilt. A very nice speedwaytrack!
SuzieQ
Well done Freddie, what a performance - he needed this after two rounds of almost making it. Watch out Nicki, the new wolf is on your tail especially after his dismal performance at Boro on Thursday night! let's hope for Wolves sake he brings this form back for his EL meeting against Belle Vue on Monday, unless he is saving it just for the GP's Edited May 24, 2008 by SuzieQ
Ashie
Exactly . I was sure Pearson was just talking crap , but are we now saying the winner of the Grand Final was not the winner of the GP . PPP always talks crap, I just hope the riders don't think all speedway fans are as brown nosing and stupid as PPP.
Paulco
The rule book: Positions 1 to 4 in the final classification will be according to the result of the Big Final (heat 23). So Holta is defo the winner then Or is it Lindgren or Ove Fundin maybe .
scotty2hotty
Where the fook did Holta come from?!! I thought that too. Amazing the speed he suddenly found and not many people go past Nicki Pedersen as if he was standing still. Strange that.

pedropete
Everyone has their own opinion and I watched it as much as anyone else. Think Tatum and Co gave their call and others have agreed. I personally didn't and thought it was just a racing incident and unfortunate that the riders touched, causing a very horrific crash. Gollob was leading. He can go where he likes. Hope AJ is OK. Steve does leading mean you can totally take another rider out by blocking his line. Dont forget there are no brakes in speedway. It went against what the riders themselves agree. You should know that.
Guest chris26
sounds like the track was terrible, such a great advert for speedway. - thought that was the reason gp speedway left ullevi anyway? after the shambles of 2004 season? if this is a sign of what is to come on the other temporary tracks with olsen sorting it, then sod grand prix speedway. I'll stick to the league meetings cheers. Edited May 24, 2008 by chris26

Peter
The rule book: Positions 1 to 4 in the final classification will be according to the result of the Big Final (heat 23). Can someone pass the rule on to Pearson? Clearly he thought whoever scored the most points on the night won.
Bryn
Latest Update on Andreas Jonsson: Re: Andreas - have received following info from my contacts at Lakeside; "I've had another call from Jon (Cook) . He has now spoken to a member of AJ's pit crew at the stadium via Chris Louis' mobile. The initial problem appears to have been to AJ's lower back. The good news is that the initial x-rays show no break but severe bruising. At this stage we have no idea how long AJ is likely to be out of action but he is not expected to ride in the next few days."

Good post chris, freddie been total rubbish for wolves and was on thursday but does well in a gp and they all think its great . And also tell the prat to stop shouting during close racing, or incidents. I know he needs to show excitement in his commentary, but most other sports commentators can do it without shouting.
