Peter
Why have America got three Conference League reserves in their team? Where's Hancock and Hamill? In Poland? Even if they are there, there's better riders like Josh Larsen, Chris Manchester, Brent Werner and Charlie Venegas. Sad to see a once great nation look so poor. Guest Schumi
Would be good to know what this means: A 13. futam után átvette tőlünk a vezetést a német csapat, amelyet Magosinak köszönhetően a következő etapban a mieink vettek vissza minimális, 1 pontos különbségggel. Hogy még izgalmasabb legyen a folytatás, a 15. futamban a szabályok szerint a kizárt Korolovs helyére bejöhetett egy lett versenyző. I really need to learn some new languages. No official speedway in Poland today, young fellow. Logistics made it impossible for him to get from Gothenberg to Miskolc in time for the race. Billy is home in the USA and has a new job that precludes him from travelling to Europe AND he was hurt at Costa Mesa two weeks ago and still isn't fit. Josh Larsen and Chris Manchester aren't racing this season. Charlie Venegas spends his Saturdays in meetings with the powers-that-be in the city of Vallejo where he is trying to promote speedway. I'm not sure about Brent Werner. If Chris Kerr was healthy he would have been there.
iris123
A run-off for first place. Apparently Tobi was in the lead in his heat then had bike trouble Edited May 25, 2008 by iris123
Subedei
A run-off for first place. If so, Ferjan has to be favourite. Looks like Billy Joke didn't bother with his fifth ride either. Edited May 25, 2008 by Subedei

Subedei
Well, looks like dreadful luck for the Germans, but well done to the Magyars.
London Witch
Really feel for Tobi. After the brilliant week he's had at domestic level, such a shame to end the week in this way. Hard luck Germans. Well done Hungary.

Fourentee
Yes, well done Hungary. How gutting for Germany though. If I read that correctly Heffers beating Tabaka into second in heat 25 sets up the run-off and the Germans must have been pretty hopeful with Kroner going to the tapes for it and in such good form. Hope Heffers can carry some form into tomorrow's Belle Vue match too.
TwoMinuteWarning
Feel sorry for the Latvians. Two of their potential team were riding in a World U-21 Qualifier in Slovakia today. (Dosen't excuse Korolev's absence though) Major cock-up by the idiots at the FIM to schedule these events on the same day (but no more than I would expect!) But this meeting was originally on the 24th. I dont know why it was switched. Maybe because of greg in the g.p.? bad decision if it was. TwoMinuteWarning
Yes, I think you're right, spanner, the date was changed. Not sure what the start time was at Miskolc, but usually it's 11am on Sunday mornings. IF that was the case yesterday, then Greg would have had about 12 hours to get from Gothenburg to Miskolc. Don't know how many flights there are from Sweden to Hungary on a Sunday morning, but not many I should imagine! In any case, I think Greg has done more than many riders for their country over the years. At 38 he is entitled to take a back seat. Nevertheless, full marks to the USA for turning up with a full 5-man team for a meeting which, in all honesty, they had very little chance of winning. stevebrum
Well done to Hungary. Still dont think they are an emerging nation, whilst at least the experience will give the American guys a bit of international experience. However the fact they were so outclassed proves there is HUGE work to be in the homeland. The riders coming through are clearly not ready for the big stage whilst Janniro must have been a huge let down and in this company should have cleared up. Time to re-group and try at least to get your established stars to perform and give encouragement.
