salty
I assume Tai will be one of the meeting reserves? If the track is anything like Ullevi he'll likely get a few rides and if not will still be able to soak up the atmosphere. Will be interesting to see how Eddie does on the big day, I reckon he could be a bit of a surprise package.
srbramble
What's the point of heat 21? Why not just have the 4 top point scorers in the grand final. We now have a guy who got 9 points in 5 rides in second place, ahead of 2 riders who outscored him in the programmed rides. Total bollox. Biddows
Yes, unSteady. But the new British champion gives him a run for his money. And increasingly it's obvious that Harris is over-rated. Â Fortunately, Sub, there's a new crop of British riders coming through for you to criticise mercilessly
gaptooth
Well done Fast Eddie, Scott was always going to win. Ed will go well at Cardiff, no worries and nothing to lose

Biddows
Simon Stead. If all the hype was to be believed, he would be world champion by now.  Well what about Lewis Bridger for one of the most over hyped rider, no where near the last chance race.  Don't get me (or anybody else) started on Lewis Bridger. There's a whole other thread dedicated to his troubles  Scott was always going to win.  Funny how easy it is to say that after the result

There's a whole other thread dedicated to his troubles  Nothing to do with his personal problems, I just do not think the guy is as good as he and others might think.
7oakseagle
Well what about Lewis Bridger for one of the most over hyped rider, no where near the last chance race. Â Yes, no where near the last chance race...he missed it by one point (and had a fall). Still, he's young (about 18 I think), he's British so I suppose we should expect him to be slated ,

spin king
Getting away from the British Final, surely we now have to plan for the future, and add the likes of Eddie Kennett and Tai to the World Cup Team, okay we are not going to win, but lets start by bringing in these young guys and give them the experience. Lawrence
King Scott the 5th - fantastic night for Scotty that he reached his 5th Title. The only points that he had lost were caused by enfine failure [or bike problems]. Anyway he prooved that he is the Best Briton so far. The biggest surprise is 3rd place for Tai Woffinden. This 18 years old rider seems to be the future of British speedway. and Edward Kenneth as well. Last year, at Wolverhampton, he was 4th in The Grand Final, but this year he stepped 2 places up on rostrum. Chris Harris - reigning Champion was great in regular event, but in Grand Final he was battling hard with Tai for 3rd place only - unfortunetely - he has lost. James Wright had decent, really decent evening at home track, but he didn`t manage to get the final. Maybe next year... Â Was this final televised by Sky Sports like last year`s one? 40-38
Yes, unSteady. But the new British champion gives him a run for his money. And increasingly it's obvious that Harris is over-rated. Â Harris does appear to be struggling this year but he is an exciting rider to watch and puts his all into it, even if that isn't always good enough. I don't see how 4th place in the British Final is a non-achievement anyway?!

srbramble
i think cos of eddie just missing out last year, he was probably a lot more focussed and determined to get the wild card this year. Â So focused, he gets a big 9 points? 2 wrongs don't make a right. He was 6th best scorer over 20 races, yet, with this rediculous format, finishes 2nd. Now THAT is an injustice. Â Why have the top 4 ? if you take what you say then we should not even have a final . Â Speedway has play offs ,tac subs why the gp's has semi -final's you could call them all unfair in a way but they are done for the crowds . We are all entitled to our opinion mate, I guess only time will tell. But I do think that to call an 18 or 19 year old over-rated is a bit premature. whippy
I am sorry but I think the format is wrong. The rider who scored the most points on the night should be the winner. Very unfair.
