Reasonably pleased to see a Rocket there (Kennett), but I reckon he'll be blown away at Cardiff. I'd much preferred to see Tai there, but I guess we'll have to wait another year for that. :(

Now waits for the Nicholls had nothing to beat posts

Dunno about that, but was there ever a more over rated British speedway rider?

Gutted.

One consolation is that Eddie is an ex Rye rider...well done Eddie.

At one point I thought both would go through because they both beat Bomber....however fantastic performance from Tai Woffinden :D

5 times a British Champion, you can only beat what is put in front of you.

Generally weak final - 7 non-EL riders - if you go back to the 80's, you would struggle to see a non-top flight rider there.

Well done Scott!!! I wonder what Subedei is going to call him now??

Simon Stead. If all the hype was to be believed, he would be world champion by now.

I can't say I'm entirely excited by the result. Fair play to Kennett for taking advantage of the final after not doing so well in the qualifiers, but he really got there by the skin of his teeth. Oh well, them's the rules. I would have much preferred to see Tai grab the wildcard place - I just don't see Kennett learning anything much from it. He's already had the chance to experience the GP atmosphere. Nicholls winning was no great surprise - experience was the deciding factor at the end of the day, but I would contest that he was possibly the least talented rider in the final race. But like I said, more experienced. I can see Tai walking this event in years to come, though hopefully there'll be a few riders coming up to challenge him.

I was so pleased to see him get that far. He is a rising star that's for sure & has bags of potential waiting to be let loose, and I am sure we will all watch with great interest his progress.

Tai's time will come. Last time Ed was at Cardiff he came out as a reserve and beat Greg, so he might do ok.

Well done to Scott Nicholls, no surprise really. Good Luck to Eddie Kennett at Cardiff, wished Tai would have got the Wildcard but even being there as a reserve will be good learning experience for the future being around the best . Creditable performance from Adam Roynon aswell. Shame this meeting wasnt on Sky.
