IMO i wouldnt pick neither PK or Max.

my team would currently be:

Andreas

Fredrik

Jonas

Daniel Nermark

and i think Billy Forsberg or any of the other young guns.

ooooh - now this team would be interesting! 4 of the 5 are riders i particularly support/enjoy watching!

With the current GB squad being low on the above I may be tempted to switch nationalities.....

Czech teamI am sure is:-

Ales Dryml, Lukas Dryml, Adrian Rymel, Lubos Tomicek & Fillip Siterra.

I wonder where the idea of Mikael Makovski riding for a Czech team came from, he has not ridden in his home country since signing for The Bandits in 2001.

How come? They are not even going to qualify!

From the thread relating to the individual Swedish Championship the riders automatically seeded through to the final are:-

Andreas Jonsson, Dackarna

Fredrik Lindgren, Dackarna

Peter Karlsson, Dackarna

Jonas Davidsson, Smederna

Daniel Nermark, Solkatterna

Peter Ljung, Elit Vetlanda

David Ruud, Lejonen

Mikael Max, Piraterna

Perhaps this suggests the probable pool of riders which will be picked on for the SWC? Then you've got the likes of Zetterstrom and Lindback who did well in the qualifying event...

Those 8 that are seeded through are in the Swedish 10 rider SWC squad, alongside Sebastian Aldén and Billy Forsberg.

Interesting, thanks Anders. Makes sense to have the 8 seeded in the squad but I do wonder if they could have picked stronger riders than Max, Ruud & Ljung such as Lindback. Still, happy to see Mikael if he rides at Cov :approve: (which he probably wont  )

Lindback would be an interesting choice and one that I'd be inclined to consider if there were still reserves in the SWC. But, there aren't, so not worth the risk, in my opinion. He'd have been a good shout for the reserve position.

what a mistake................. does Jim Lynch think that we can actually win the event? If we cant win the event then he has to bring through guys who can possibly help us win it in the future.............. i'm sorry but IMO that doesnt include Simon Stead or Oliver Allen

Jim Lynch is trying to reach the final here without going to the playoff........ this is error number 2.......... we cannot win the final so therefore why miss out on the chance to blood youngsters and get to the race off where the bikes and guys can get dialed in? .........The statistics show that teams that progress to the final from the race off do well

Hoping to go to this meeting. Only just found out today that dad's friend is planning on going and he's invited us, so, fingers crossed B)

Andreas Jonsson, Fredrik Lindgren, Jonas Davidsson, Peter Ljung and Daniel Nermark. Are the 5 riders who will ride for Sweden at the Coventry semi-final.

Woooooo for Daniel Nermark :D I'll be rooting for Sweden then too, as well as the Brits! AJ and Lindgren aren't bad either. Can't comment on Davidsson or Ljung as I've not seen them ride before.

Anyone know the line up for the other nations?
