Authorised
Quality riders like Nikki and Hans will do well whatever gate they come from. Gollob earned his inside gates and did a superb job. Well done him. The English were poor as usual , Baaa! Yes, Nicki and Hans were the class apart, and the only 2 to register wins from the outside. How did Gollob earn his last 2 rides to be from Gate 1 prior to the semis? Of course it was the luck of the draw.
Authorised
Yep. And you point is? Re-read what you said, essentially Nicholls was crap even before the rain? Well, he had 2 rides of his 3 prior to the rain from Gate 3. Only a couple of riders were ever going to 'not be' crap from there.

Indeed it was fortunate for Gollob but that's the way the cookie crumbles , by that rationale how did Nicholls earn his last ride off gate 1 ! Reviresco
So, the apparently written off 'One Track Pony' won his 12th GP (incorporating his 500th GP heat) at the age of 37. Then some of us knew, ofcourse, that the 'One Track Pony' was going to still be a top 4 contender in 2008, as he has been for the previous GP seasons, when injury and bad luck have probably stopped him winning the actual title of GP champion itself. Well done Tomasz. May the form, luck, speed - whatever it takes, carry you on in this season to hopefully, either win the title that you have so richly deserved for so long or, at least, to prove your doubters wrong. Long Live & Prosper Tomasz, one of the great entertainers in an otherwise increasingly drab world. (Interesting that the Super GPs are all on temporary tracks and not on proper speedway tracks - they obviously don't want TG to win that one then :-)) Edited April 26, 2008 by macca56
Concrete Cowboy
Indeed Steve - they are just behind Bjarne in the queue for the exit. I know his gating was once again crap but not sure whether you noticed Harris had 1 gate 1, 1 gate 2, 1 gate 3 and 2 gate 4's. Hardly helped was he ?. Weather killed it. Before the rain it was a cracking meeting. Shame even before the rain the Brits were crap. Sooner we get some fresh blood coming through the better. mikec
Couldn't agree more Macca. He brings something different to the GP party, he's unorthodox & i for one will miss him when he retires. Looking forward to trips to Leszno & Bydgoszcz to see him race live this season - yeah I'll be supporting the English lads too but Gollob on his own patch, would recommend it to anyone! superguest
Good meeting until the rain came down. Fred rode hard for their points, infact I can't believe he only scored 1 more than KK. Bjarne looks like the next Richardsson, Lindback and Pepe... shame as Ive always liked Bjarne Leigh Adams - what the heck? Jason Crump - what the heck? Also, wonder what Sam meant by 'people in Oxford' Nicki only has two rivals. AJ and Hans. They both don't look too convincing yet, still hope Hans can do it though! Firestorm
Like I said - don't write off the Aussie duo after only one GP!! They'll be getting in the mix no doubt tres soon... But congats to Gollob for winning... One thing, a certain Mr Adams will now probably be in a foul mood for Monday (and its his birthday!!) so Eastbourne might end up on the receiving end of that one (I hope!!) Guest chris26
have to say, that was grand prix racing at it's absolute best! sure, the rain intervened but overall, was pure class and was proper gp racing. long may it continue. Chris Brown
Has Lukas Dryml ridden at Krsko since his big crash there? Didn't bother him too much did it ? And there were those who said he was out of his depth
lupus
Well Done Tomasz! I've long been a fan of young Mr Gollob (well he's younger than me anyway!) and would love to see him go all the way this year!

And there were those who said he was out of his depth Some of us still had faith in the old boy! Great to see Glob doing so well too; in fact other than a stinker for Barney, it was a great GP results wise. Seb the Snail
What a load of tosh that was. As Mr Shovlar suggests, we may as well give Nicki the title now and forget the rest of the series, such is the gulf in class. Shocking stuff from the rider formerly known as Mr Clean; his meeting ended as soon as the rain came down. Rubbish. At least Rosco was on form tonight. Not sure he'd have done much off Gate 4, mind you! Credit finally to the Dark Dog. Vintage stuff. Col
Of the lot Jonsson was the most impressive if you ask me, until the Monsoon struck, stupid choice of gate in the semi. It was a good meeting until the rain came down. Glad N Pedersen didn't win especially the way he walked the first few GP's last year, it made the rest pointless. Crump & Adams were poor. Andersen seems to save his best race until he's against fellow Danes. Good to see Bjarne in great form, is their another rider that is as exciting? He gets passed more often than water. Col
Nicholls & Harris are as good as any other GP riders after the first 20 metres, I believe this is almost every Brits problem and it stems from all our talent coming from a grasstrack background. Thank goodness for one of the few on here who aren't just utter fault-finding miseries. I'm stumped as to why some folk bother to get up in a morning. Whilst, i wouldn't say it was GP at it's best, there was certainly a fair bit of good racing sprinkled about.
beercellar
yeh have to agree was grand prix at its best, loads of passing and all gunning for points, going to be a good season this year.
Lawrence
Tomek Gollob is still good enough He`s great I hope hw will take a victory at Leszno as well BTW - 10 points was enough to win in regular event !
