Apparently Kumla will be hosting an open meeting this saturday and Målilla will host a U21 open a week later. Any info on these two meetings?

No, but Vetlanda also host an open meeting on Saturday the 18th, same day as Målilla.

Vetlanda's meeting was the only one I could find in the calendars I looked at... speedwayresultat.com is an excellent site...

Got to dig deeper then...

T. Rick. has today announced that he will make a comeback in speedway, but not as a rider. He is going to be the new manager for Antonio Lindback.

Tony says he wants to make sure that Antonio gets a good platform to stand on and that next year will be a bit of a test. The idea is to create harmony and peace around Antonio. Tony continue: -It's exciting to share my expertise to Antonio who really know how to ride a speedwaybike.

Tony will take care about most of the things in Team Lindback. He is responsible for everthing from contracts to make sure all the bikes are ready when its time for Antonio to compete. New meachanics have been hired and they are already working with building new bikes.

Tony says that the plan for next year is done. Just now the team is waiting for Vargarna to present a new contract for 2009. Antonio will also ride full time in Poland, some matches in Russia and start the season with four to six weeks competing in England.

I seriously hope no-one is foolish enough to sign him if he only wants to do half a year

But wish him well in Poland, Sweden and Russia ;)

EDIT: Jensen Open at Täby / Örebro!

Really? Any inside information?

Jensen Open should have been held on September 28th but was cancelled/postponed due to a lack of participants. Has it been re-instated?

Great 2 see him back & with Tony Rick in his corner then i think he can be a force again after losing his way for a yr or 2.

Really enjoyed him riding for the Aces last yr but shame he is only riding for the start of the season in England. Who's gonna want 2 sign him for 6 weeks only??

Is it correct that he has signed for Bydgoszcz in Poland or is that just a rumour at this stage??

To be honest, I have no idea what Tony means by saying that AL is suppose to ride 6 weeks in England in the beginning of next year. But I am confident that Tony knows what he´s doing.

And I have no clue at all if AL will sign or has already signed a contract with Bydgoszcz. In Sweden deadline is 31st of December, what the date in Poland?

Oh yeah, he definitely knows what he's doing does T Rick so he's in good hands.

Not sure re Poland. Was looking at the Polish League thread & it was on there that a few had re-signed with Bydgoszcz for next season & then it mentioned Lindback but wasnt sure it was official or just rumoured?? Hope he does sign for them cos its a cracking race track & they'll have such an exciting team to watch with him, AJ & Sajfutdinov.

Whatever happens, i think given a yr or so under T Ricks wing that AL will be challenging at the top where he deserves 2 be with his talent.

I don't think these riders should be able to do a few weeks in GB at the start of our season, that facility should only be open to riders who are willing to race here for the whole season, it's like a small advantage to racing in GB! By all accounts there aren't many!!!!!!
