screm
It's glorious. Puts Monday's Sky meeting in its proper place: second class and second rate. This is the real deal. Completely right Sub,since watching the coverage of Polish speedway Ive become bored with our so called Elite League. We dont have to go like for like with the Poles but surely we can learn something about how to set up teams so the best riders will return over here. Don't think Swindon have a match, but are Ipswich not due a double header with Poole and Coventry? Â No Hampel would scupper them.

tomcat
Having spent several hours trawling through the entire 29 pages of this thread.... I'm now completely converted to Polish Speedway. Thanks to Lawrence for the top class coverage...hope you do get something sorted for next season, so you can continue to show the ELige. Have been watching some of the archived meetings.... what on earth have I been watching all these years over here. It won't sound good, but I am actually contemplating cancelling my Sky Sports subscription..why pay all that money for the dross we are served up each week, when I can watch top drawer racing from Poland each week instead. Maybe if Sky were to show a Polish meeting maybe twice a month, so those of us that do enjoy the racing can do so, plus the BEL people still get their fix as well, they'd not lose viewers, because lets face it, they must be losing viewers with the cack we have for racing here. Â Certainly agree, that the BEL/BSPA could learn a lot from the Polish Authorities, re track prep, team building...the works by the looks of things. Love the way the teams are constructed, the race formats work well, with the U21's in Heat one and so on... come on BSPA... wake up for heavens sake. Lawrence
Polonia Bydgoszcz - Intar Ostrów 57:34  but i am not happy with this win, due to nasty crash of Krzysztof Buczkowski:  Crash was awful...Buczek missed the gate. Emil was first in 1st bend, and behind Emil there were Ostrow duo. Buczek missed gate as I wrote and he tried to reach 2nd place coming in between Ostrow Riders. But he saw that it is impossible and wanted to go the outside. Buczek hooked on maciej piaszczynski rear wheel and they both fell doen the track. Buczek did it the wirst and he smashed air-fence by his chest. In the same time Buczek`s bike hit him into the back - It seemed that it hit his back in the middle - into the spine and engine smashed Buczek into the helmet. It was awful crash and I saw him, in my imagination, already on wheelchair as Kim Jansson and Per Jonsson :/...  But the first messages from hospital were quite good. He suffered concusion and bruised body, but hopefully no broken bones - it is impossible, but true so far...And his spine and spinal cord is ok - he moves his legs and arms - You can to watch it on www.itv24.com.pl NOW  Match will be available tomorow`s evening - sorry for mistakes in my English, but I don`t know medical terms in English - I just know speedway`s one...Just watch the crash... tomcat
Just been and watched that crash... He is one lucky boy, if he has got away without being seriously injured. That was on awful accident. Hope that both riders will be ok.
Lawrence
Krzysztof Buczkowski had an operation. Â The doctors had to remove spleen, probably he has broken 2 or 3 ribs, bruised lung where a water still accumulates and he suffered a concusion - not so good... Â I dont know in a medical staff, but can anyone write here something about spleen? Is it a very important organ that makes impossible to normal live if removed? Hazzman
I dont know in a medical staff, but can anyone write here something about spleen? Is it a very important organ that makes impossible to normal live if removed? Â You can have your spleen removed with no danger to your life. Emiliano Sanchez, the rider at Scunthorpe recently did. However, it does make your immune system weak meaning it becomes more difficult to shake off infections and colds. Â Looks Polonia might be on Setanta at this rate!! Bradford Ace
Krzysztof Buczkowski is under pharmacological coma. The doctors says that this is the best way to heal him quickly, than usually...  Hi Lawrence  My brother has had his spleen removed & lives a fairly normal life. As quite rightly advised by Hazzman, the spleen is there apparantly to ward off infections so he may struggle with colds & flu a bit more.  My brother has to carry a card in his wallet to advise he has no spleen in case he has an accident but apart from that i dont think there's anything majorly different to when he had his spleen.  Horror smash so fingers x'd that Krzysztof makes a full & quick recovery cos i've enjoyed watching him race this yr a lot. Hazzman
Krzysztof Buczkowski is under pharmacological coma. The doctors says that this is the best way to heal him quickly, than usually... Â Similar to Emiliano Sanchez's situation then. He had the same fate and recovered within six months to be back on a Speedway bike.
