Mama
WHY ISNT THIS TRACK USED ON AN INTERNATIONAL STAGE ANYONE KNOW? The main problem is that Gdańsk club made lot of debts to FIM/BSI during SWC'2001 (Gdańsk hosted semifinal stage).

Subedei
Subedei, you`re right :-) Billy Forsber had 6+1 = 1,3,0,2`,0 - in Polish league there is no bonus point for 3rd rider [in 3-3 result] and for 2nd rider [in 5-0 heat] if opponent fells or don`t finish the race, and Marcin Jedrzejewski didn`t finish the race due to fell - IMO - stupid point of regulation, but I didn`t set the regulations in Polish Speedway Darek, the camera man, has copied the results from speedway website that is not reliable source of information as you see...:-( sorry for that. Charlie Gjedde score is wrong as well...2`,0,2`,1,1 = 6+2 No, looks like I was wrong. If those are the rules in Poland then naturally 6+1 is correct. Subedei
Some really entertaining racing in Gorzow today, but almost as interesting was the interview with Rune Holta: "Rune, you're Norwegian with Polish passport, but do you know any Polish words?" Now that, is a question and a half. Edited August 25, 2008 by Subedei
Champion
Some really entertaining racing in Gorzow today, but almost as interesting was the interview with Rune Holta: "Rune, you're Norwegian with Polish passport, but do you know any Polish words?" Now that, is a question and a half. There was more: question: "Rune, will Gorzow przegra or wygra tonight" ? (in english, but with those two words in polish) Rune (after a while): "....przegra" przegra means loose, wygra means win Some time later journalist said that Rune had corrected mistake On the other side great polish by Ferjan. Bradford Ace
This has prob been covered previously but as this thread is 25 pages old i cant be bothered trailing thru it all!!! Sorry!! Anyway, just wanted 2 know what the formats are for Ekstraliga & Div 1 play offs?? I've been following all Bydgoszcz's meetings online & know now that they meet the other top 4 teams home & away so they have 6 meetings to race, 1 already down after sunday v Poznan. Are the points gained here added on to the ones from the regular season with the winners going up & the 2nd placed team going into a play off with 7th in the top league?? The top league appears different as it looks to be 1 v 6, 2 v 5, & 3 v 4. How does it progress after this however??
Subedei
Okay, top six in the Ekstraliga go into the medal play-offs, with the bottom two going into a relegation play-off. The medal play-off is: 1 vs 6 ( A ) 2 vs 5 ( B ) 3 vs 4 ( C ) The winners on aggregate and the highest runners up go to the next stage, which is: Winners A vs Highest runners-up Winners B vs Winners C Then the two winners race for Gold and the two losers for Bronze. The losers of the relegation play-off are relegated, the winners go into a race-off with the second team in Liga I, which has a different system. Okay, in Liga I, after everyone has raced home and away against everyone else in the regular season, the league is split into two leagues. The top four have a mini league and the bottom four have a mini league. The points are added to the "regular season" points, but the league split remains. Thus, the "best" team in the lower mini league might accumulate more points than the bottom team in the upper league, but they can't overtake them because their mini-league programme was weaker. The league leaders at the end are promoted and the second team go into a race off with the winners from the Ekstraliga relegation race-off. Following Bydgoszcz so think they should have enough to progress now back to the Ekstraliga. Would have been v interesting if they hadnt lost points at start of season.
