marron
Is the nominated low sorers always the lowest scorer or is it say, 2 out of the 3 lowest scoring rider in each side? And same for high scorers heat? If you get what i mean. Edited April 25, 2008 by marron
Lawrence
Cheers. Is there a minimum number of rides each man must have?? How many points down before u can bring in someone and is this for double points like England?? Presume reserves can replace any of the others at any time?? Whats the riding order also?? Is Heat 15 a nominated one like in England?? Well... 1) No...Only riders under 6 and 7 [14 and 15 must ride once at least - in Heat 1, which begins the match. heat 1 is U-21`s one] 2) 10 3) Yes 4) Yes - up to 5 rides [4 resrves and once in nominated heat [14 or 15]] or up to 6 rides [4 reserves, 1 as TS and 1 in nominated heat], or 7 rides [4 reserves, 1 TS, 1 RR and 1 nominated heat] 5) in Polish league there are 2 nominates heats - look on match table below: Extraleague: I liga: Maaron - in heat 14 - there can be nominate any rider except 2 with the highest score. If there is 3 riders with the highest score, then team manager decide which 2 riders will ride in heat 15 and which in heat 14 Edited April 25, 2008 by Lawrence

Bradford Ace
Cheers guys. Good 2 know ur all so knowledgeable cos it cud get complicated 4 some1 like me!! Ha, know it seems quite a good way of doing things & i think English clubs cud learn a lot from Poland in so many ways. I've never understood why the points limit exists cos the champions of the league know that as soon as they've lifted the trophy that at least 1 or 2 r gonna have 2 leave & wont get the chance 2 stay with their team & defend the title. Personally i've always thought that the champions finishing points should be the limit for the yr after so they can keep the same team if they want & allow the others 2 build up 2 that limit 2 try & topple them but this is quite a good system as well. It gives room 4 the youngsters 2 play a part but also with it only being 2 GP boys per team, it means that ya cant go silly & let the rich clubs sign every1 at the top. Basically then, a rider like Sajfutdinov at Bydgoszcz only has one programmed ride in Heat 1 & is then used 2 come in & replaced guys that r struggling. At the mo with Steady in there he's gonna get a lot of rides i fancy!! Think after a couple of reads thru that i'm ust about there. will have 2 come over 4 a league meeting this yr 2 test all this out!!!
Steve Shovlar
Any Polish league speedway live on the net today?
Lawrence
No, April 27th is a reserve date for rounds 1 -3 for all leagues, if those matches would have been postponed in planned terms... Next Polish leagues matches will be staged on May 1st and May 4th Edited April 27, 2008 by Lawrence

Fourentee
I think they bring up the total scores for each rider at the end, not how they got them. e.g. Chris Harris 6 instead of Chris Harris 1 2 3 0 I should have been more specific. I heard the commentator say riders' names and total points scores, but don't know enough (or, more accurately, any) Polish to have a clue what the numbers were. I was rather hoping for a visual chart along the lines of: Daniel Nermark 1-3-2*-3-3 -- 12+1 or whatever. They do put up heat scores and team running totals between races. Edit: Must learn Polish for 0-21! Edited April 27, 2008 by Fourentee

Blazeaway
Just finished watching two cracking meetings. Firstly Czestochowa, already missing flu victim Greg Hancock also lost Lee Richardson in his first race with a hand injury. Losing at home to Torun who had Wieslaw Jagus in inspired form only dropped one point to Nicki P who in turn dropped his only point to Jagus. Then watched the last 9 races of Tarnow losing at home to a Gollob and Holta inspired Gorzow. Special mention to Janusz Kolodziej (sp) who was in fine form. Both much better than the tripe served up most Mondays over here.

By the way, started watching this meeting at the scheduled start time and there isn't a chance it would've gone ahead over here. But the track staff worked like demons to get the track into a reasonable shape and by the end there was some super racing.
Mateusz
As for the Bydgoszcz v Grudziadz match you'll be able to watch tomorrow night on itv24.com.pl. It was nothing special as it couldn't be. Grudziadz are a much weaker team than Bydgoszcz so no one expected anything but hammering them today. However, some heats weren't that bad as Grudziadz were a bit better at the gate so Bydgoszcz boys had some work to do.. First races were dull but it got better later on. All in all, I think it's worth spending those 30 minutes in front of screen, anyway. Not worse than Monday's BEL for sure Edited May 1, 2008 by Mateusz

I talked with camera man about score chart after the meeting and he said ok, no problem :-) Stange has had so many injuries over the past few years that i don't think he has managed more than a few months from each season in maybe 4 years. A great pity as he doesn't really manage to reach his true potential

HAR
Lawrence, thank you to everyone involved in making this service available to us, it is really appreciated. I have told so many people about this service and they too are all enjoying watching the meetings. You put the speedway TV coverage we have in the UK to shame! Some great racing, especially heats 7 and 8. The final score does not reflect how good the racing was, every point was fought for. Well done to Polonia Bydgoszcz. Thank you for putting the score card at the end of the meeting, for those of us who are not fluent in Polish it was easy to understand what the individual scores were! Sorry to see two riders injured, a speedy recovery to them. I watched Andreas Jonsson last night at Lakeside Hammers against Ipswich Witches, he is a great rider. Although he was beaten in the last race by my favourite, Swiderski! Thank you again.
Fingersfin
Yes another great meeting, what a track that is! Oliver Allen was very entertaining until he was taken out. Thanks again
Subedei
That's awfully sombre music they have over the replays of Stange's crash.
Bradford Ace
Another cracking meeting there from Bydgoszcz. Saw the scoreline before & it looked a thrashing but the racing was so much better than the score suggested. Watched that meeting followed by the Czestochowa v Torun one & the Bydgoszcz meet produced far closer racing & a lot more passing. Czestochowa looks a cracking stadium & a big wide pacey track but the racing was quite spread out with the home side suffering a lack of riders due to illness & injury. Noticed from Bydgoszcz so far this season tho that there doesnt appear 2 be much of an outside line on the 3rd & 4th bends, is this always the case??. The 1st & 2nd produces good lines round the kerb & the fence but on the 3rd corner the only move looks to be to go out deep & then cut back. Anyone that goes 4 the big blast seems 2 go backwards so is this due to the shape of the track or what?? The visiting riders never seem 2 learn tho & always move out wide 2 be suckerpunched on the inside by the more knowledgable home riders. Presume Simon Stead was just axed from this meeting?? His replacement Heffenbrock did even worse & scored 0 so presume Steady will be back 2moro.
