London Witch
I agree, very poor meeting. Only the 2 hours on SSE Gem, just as well doubt if anybody would have lasted three. Feel sorry for those people who travelled back again to watch it. Great result for Scott he really deserves to get a win before the seasons out. And yes Crumpy did it again, will any of his few fans be able to defend him this time?
Star Lady
I was bored too, I was going to say bored witless but I'm sure some would say I ain't got any anyway The only good thing about last night is it has closed up the overall standings but as a speedway meeting it was a non starter :-( I'm pleased there were only 2 hours of it and for once we nearly managed to watch a GP without being force fed "British is best". No objections when they are, as Scott was last night, but it does get mighty tiresome at times.

FlyinRyan
Pleased for the main man tonight, he deserves it and despite saying he is fully fit, you should have a look at his arm sometime.......as for Mr Shovelar saying he's boring, perlease. Leigh Adams. Now he's boring. Anyone catch the 'don't do that' when Ryan tried to put champagne down his neck!!! Though Mr Andersen did well tonight, yup I know he rode his luck, but he ain't had much this season so far.

Sulli
Suli-van is nowt but a gating tart, at least adams and crump can pass if he can gate then he wont need to pass because he'll be in front anyway!
kevin
Well done Scotty Scott is now coming of age in the gp's and another great result for the HotShot Scott Nicholls! It's good that a Brit is going so well, now he is in that top 10 with 3 more rounds to go. When they was at tapes for the final and Scott had gate 1 i thought he was going to pop out of the start and win his first gp but second is very good, BIG 20 points! It's gonna go right to the last round this year very wide open championship! I think Crump was very angry with his bike stopping in the final, owell nevermind
speedwayfreak
It's good to have a Brit in the top ten, lets hope Scotty can get further up the leader board.
rabbit
Probably one of the most boring GPs in a long time - glad I didn't waste a Saturday evening sitting through it! Great result for Scotty - he's definitely not far away from a win. How many times has he made the final this year? Dead pleased for the guy - a true pro on track and in front of the cameras. 8)
G the Bee
I too was bored. I thought the track was awful again, although it would appear that they'd had quite a bit of rain. The distance between the riders first and last past the flag in some of yesterdays heats was a joke, and I thought the track rutted up badly after the first few heats. To me, the GP's lately are all spin and no substance. Get them in the fancy, sponsor festooned stadiums, let off some fireworks and flares, play disco music, get Suzie Quattro along (or the chap who did yesterdays gig), accompany it by some flash PR (the 'Fans GP', whats all that about?) and there you have it - the SGP. Don't worry about the fact that the the tracks consistently fall way below standard or that despite having the top riders in the world you can count the amount of decent races on one hand. All I could think of was that I could have watched Cov. V. Peterborough tonight.
howling gorgon
Well done Sully! I wouldn't agree with Steve Shovlar's comments Not many do!! Just humour him gooner, Aaaaaaahhhh bless

discoll
Did anyone notice Crumpies rear wheel disk just before tapes in the final ? It was way out of shape, vibrating all over the place and looked to have dropped somewhat from the centre of his wheel. I know some riders set them up so that they do not rotate with the wheel (Havvy and Sean Wilson I think) but wasn't aware that Crumpie set his up in that way. So if not, was this the cause of his stoppage as the tapes rose ? Mechanical failure, or not tightened up properly during tyre change ? Or was it something completely unrelated - again he did not look happy. Adding up Slovenia when he had an EF in the semi on the last lap when set for a final place (fuel I think - lack of) and possibly more points in tonights final if he'd have got away from the tapes, then it would be even closer at the top than it is currently. I'm sure that the missed points could prove costly in the final reckoning. I guess thats another mechanic that will have got left at the track and no hotel room. I saw the rear spoiler had come off and it also looked like there was a second sprocket left on the wheel behind the spoiler, as Jason pushed the bike onto the center I thought I could see it hanging down. GREDON
Only able to watch on TV this week, no way going all the way back to Gothenburg and thank goodness I did not. Whilst track was marginally better, they might just as well have carried on with things the week before. Will they sack Ole now, even he cannot prepare a good one off track. On the night Leigh Adams should have won, or even Scott, but certainly not Ryan. The GPs are too much of a lottery, Leigh did not stand a chance of Gate 3. It is time they went back to the old World Final formula, were riders meet each other at least at least once, and have to ride of each gate at some stage.. How can you possibly say at the end of it all we have a World Champion

beesboybert
I think Sullivan deserved to win , even if it was only for me ( i had him at 14/1 ) Seriously though I was wondering if anybody knew if that was the first time ever a rider in the 1st heat of the meeting went onto win the GP. Im sure somebody will know the answer
21st century heathen
What a total snooze fest Zzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!!! Apart from about four races it was intensely boring. Glad I had wait an extra week for it. Well done to Ryan, Scott and Leigh. I do feel bad for Jason, but his attitude stinks when things go wrong. Tony's attitude was totally proffessional as always, and Jason could learn a lot from him. Don't know what Tony's problem was, because he appeared fit enough. He even said in the interview he felt fine, but perhaps not quite match fit. Nicki was clearly there to pick up whatever he could. I though he did a decent job, and is happy to have limited the damage done tohis position overall. Most disappointed rider is surely Hancock. It was a hell of an opportunity for Greg to get himself right in the mix at the top. He's left himself too much to do now, unless he can win a couple. Did anyone else think the ref was pretty harsh on Brhel. Poor bloke didn't even have time to put fuel in.

Guest Nuffsaid
Track was a disgrace...racing boring.....Scottie did us proud and Sullivan was back to his best...as for Rickardsson and Pedersen the former wasn't himself and the latter hadn't a clue how to race if he didn't make the gate. Crumpie god bless him, his bad luck surely can't continue? and HE will be the next GP champion. As for Spitting the dummy? ...christ , do you blame him.....after the last two GPs the guy must have run over a dozen black cats! Crumpie has been the quickest and most aggressive rider in the last two GPs and needs to make the next three GP finals and he's there IMHO. Lets hope the Czech GP has some atmosphere and a decent track!
