Alex Davies looked pretty impressive in this one.Track was wet to start with and then the rain got worse.Stopped after 7 heats and was a long break.Justin Sedgman maybe struggled in the wet conditions but got better after the lengthy break. In the run-off Lasse was left at the gate

In quali 2.Arthur Sissis!!!!!!Wow,what a rider.Tiny little kid,but boy can he gate.He was a bike length in front in a few of his heats after about a second. And when he made the gate there was no stopping him. When he didn't make the gate there was still very little stopping him.In his second heat he was at the back and then came through into second. Then in the big battle, heat 15 against the 2 unbeaten Danes(M.J.Jensen +N.Porsing)Arthur was in third but had a great race to pass Porsing.Pity it seems his speedway future is limited and he will be Road Racing instead. What a talent.Clinton Dennis was a little unlucky. In his last heat on the last bend he lost control when in second place and ended up 3rd.Otherwise he would have been in a run-off

Qualification 2

Michael J. Jensen won with a 15 points max... :approve:

Just to say that in heat 6 Kenneth Dyrvig was excluded and his place was taken by the reserve in the re-run Simon Fischer(i guess).I did see Mr Fischer running around and as Lasse Kragh was already in the comp i guess it must have been Simon

Enormous talent Iris, helped by great machinery built by former King of Darwin Sidecars Phil "Crazy" Mackay. You should see the little ****** handle a sidecar! Fingers crossed we can keep him interested in Speedway but whatever discipline he chooses (No, not the Max Mosley style!!) he's a Champ in the making for sure. Spiderweb put me onto watching him last year and each time I've seen him since he just amazes me, but that's the joy of meetings like this; spotting the up-and-comers. Any others worth looking out for? (apart from Alex, Justin et al OZ!!)

PS a quick query - Arthur finished equal on points with the second-place getter but beat him in the heats - was there a run-off?

Yes i was talking to Phil "Crazy" Mackay.Great guy.Arthur also has help from Danish tuner Brian Andersen, who Phil got in.

Yes he was in a run-off but fell whilst in second place.

As for talent.Obviously look out in the future for Michael Jepsen Jensen.I said a year or two back he is like a litle Nicki Pedersen(his determination to win).Well yesterday he even had his own air fan to cool himself down! But definitelly the two Mikkels(Michelsen + B.Jensen)who were seeded into todays semi finals. And i must say i was impressed with Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen.I was a bit disappointed in the Swedes. At least until the last quali.Norberg and Fredh looked quite good. But i can see Australia beating then and Poland in the team meeting. Not sure if they could beat Denmark though.I heard(from Peter S + Mick Poole)that all 6 riders will be in the team comp.A special system devised by jan Staechmann. For Denmark Michael J.Jensen,M.B.Jensen.M.Michelsen and Lasse Bjerre are already picked and the last two places will be decided by results in the individual comp.

The person who really impressed though is Erik Gundersen. He was working all the way through with all the Danish lads giving them advice and geeing them up after a fall. But it really is one big family there.A lot of the Danish boys are sporting Australia hats

4 of the guys were in a two day meeting last weekend at Holsted,so they have had a bit of practice, but i think Sedgeman only got his bike a few days back.Taylor has been with Crump for a bit and had to build his bike up himself with guidance from Jason.Looking forward to seeing how he goes. But Mick said a wet track won't bother him at all.In fact he goes faster in the wet! :o

Only put a few pics on because of lack of time
