Recommended Posts

All I know is its in Denmark in June this year, have heard that nine Australians have been selected and there will also be a Denmark v Australia test.

Anyone got anymore news? Who the riders are?

Hi Lee, heard somewhere might have been Ozyace saying that young Sedgy was going, which would seem strange as hes 16 i think, but could be a rule about bieng 15 at the end of the year.

Havent heard anyone else, nine sounds a fair few.

I had a laugh when MA put up the riders for the sidecar title on March 7th, when gillman announced them on Feb 20th, so dont know if you will get much help there.

Cheers Chopper

Maximum age for riders is 16, which means that they can ride for the whole year in which they turn 16.

BTW: FIM have in November announced rider allocations for various world championship for 2008, but they have only published requests from national federations for Youth Gold cup 80cc. MA has apparently requested 8 places for its riders.

Still no confirmation, my guess is;

Poole, Davies, Kurtz X2, Dennis, Ward, Heeps, Sedgman but I'm only guessing based on who went last year and what I've heard (other possibilities (Blain, Campton, Sissis)

Interesting news about a possible test match.I was wondering,as last year in Poland they held the 4tt with Sweden,Denmark,Poland and Oz.Was hoping they would do that again, but a test match with Oz is possibly better. Will have to book the week off work for this :approve:

SA's Arthur Sissis'll be there for sure: caught up with Phil Mackay at the Sidecars in Adelaide and he confirmed he'll be building the bikes for him. Arthur didn't do too badly on the Junior Sidecars as well - he's a natural, hope we can keep him interested in Speedway, these days every Aussie Kid wants to be the next Casey Stoner! :lol:

I think a few of the Aussies will be taking there own bikes this time, and they are already practicing on them. One of them may just give the comp a bit of a shake up this year - Arthur Sissis will be right amongst them if he's on a good bike.

Looking at Michael Jepsen Jensen's site he hasn't got any test matches in his calendar(maybe they will still be arranged)but he does have a Team World Final arranged for Korskro the day after the YGT final :lol: So maybe this 4tt is going to be an official date on the calendar. And can only imagine it will be the same as last year i.e Denmark-Sweden-Poland -Australia :approve:

am thinking of going to this years gold cup final. can anyone advise of where the stadium is? what part of denmark?

thanks

In the South West of Denmark. On the mainland opposite the island of Rømø

The track is not far from the railway station. If you look on a satellite pic of Skærbæk you should find it.

Look here and click on "Find på kort" and it shows you the track
