junior fan
Interesting to see that Cam Woodward has been overlooked for a qualifying berth for the Gp qualifier despite being the third placed rider in the recent australian title, his place taken by Rory Schlien. And they bitch and moan that not enough aussies take part in the aus title, why bother if you can qualify without even riding. junior fan
Nothing what so ever about being a Rory fan or not, you have a qualifier, you dont ride so how can you then qualify. All you hear is how the riders dont support the aussie title, well duh i wonder why. Junior

Junior Have a chat to Cam, junior fan, you may understand it a bit better after that. And if I believe correcly a few years ago Leigh Adams, for what ever reason didnt ride the Aussie Series and through proper channels was awarded a qualifying place. (At least I think it was Leigh). BigFatDave
For your interest, junior fan, Cam Woodward decided he didn't want to pursue qualification at this stage in his career, so Rooboy got the nod. That's the word from the Speedway Commission of Motorcycling Australia, and they'd know, wouldn't they? Who's this ubiquitous "They" by the way? You seem to be the only one bitching & moaning. junior fan
Didnt really expect you to agree Big Fat Dave , knowing your a Roo fan. Ok so give the spot to the next qualifier, think it may have been Doyle. Keep going through them until you run out and then choose someone else that didnt bother to ride. Oh yeah speedway commision of Australia know all, like not selecting the best junior in australia to ride in the aussie junior title. iris123
Was it a qualifier (a real one/advertised as one) or are you just assuming it was? I was of the opinion that it was.Think i read it in an interview with Johnno or Davey Watt.Would be wrong if the goalposts have been moved. But i am not surprised about this. Im sure you know then just how much it costs to cargo out two bikes, purchase a minimum of two airline tickets, buy a house, prepare for having a baby and live day to day. Sometimes the money just wont stretch to everything. Maybe he should have decided he was British (yer - I know he would NEVER have considered that!!), as its not so expensive is it. Its not just that simple - not bothering - and he knew he took the chance of not having a qualifier spot - but financially 2008 was a no-go. Look out 2009 though!!!! Had both my kids by then - and by the way - its not Rory thats actually having a baby so I dont think the midwives will worry too much about his age!!!
