Gemini
Ice cream vans parked on the track - BRILLIANT Great. That will definitely get Nevsy up for the meeting as he is quite partial to ice cream vans. Dogs definetly must pay to get in, it's only fair after all cos they're watching just as much as we are, the bigger the dog the more they pay .No concessions for the kiddies either or over 60's. So I hope that means that great black, hairy thing of Rory's has to be paid for as well. If there are no concessions for the over 60's then there should be none for riders either. That great black hairy thing has a name! And TAFFY wont be paying, he's part of Rory's pit crew and when asked earlier Taffy said if Rory is in the final he will be supporting the four way split as he needs a new bag of bonio and a decent kennel!!! T.W.
Good work indeed, he's certainly made a name for himself in the last few weeks hasn't he? What name did you have in mind

Midnight_Lady
ML if you've been reading all the ridiculous comments on the Poole Diamond Jubilee thread you'd know(wouldn't really expect you to trawl through 90 pages though ). Surely being a WWoS member you're used to strange senses of humour by now. Sorry ML - its a bit of a mickey take of the Poole Jubilee meeting!!! Thank you for that. I understand better now
Nevs
Great. That will definitely get Nevsy up for the meeting as he is quite partial to ice cream vans. OOII dont involve me !!!!! I aint commented I was just sat here reading all quiet and listening to Savage Garden!! Quite frankly Gemini I find your post in bad taste--In fact at this moment in time I find the whole damn thread in bad taste and posted a tad too early--not only do we have this thread going on on this section for something thats going to happen in June (Good ice cream van hunting month that one new ones wise)-but also the Poole one carrying on after the event happened last weekend What about Nick Simmons testimonial at the weekend eh??? A former Falcon Rider who was much appreciated by many trying his best for The Falcons Nicks turn now for his meeting to rise to the top of the section so could everybody else please shut the hell up a tad until at least Monday. Poor old Nick-manages to book his testimonial for a week after a Poole 60th anniversary meeting that everyone wants to discuss-bloody typical. Poole your subject has come and gone albeit with a few comments here or there -Johnno-get someone to restart yours on Monday.. In the mean time best wishes to Nick for Sunday. Ice cream vans can come a tad later in the season Gems. Edited March 12, 2008 by Nevs
colincooke
Hey Nevs we wish Nick all the luck in the world & may even be present on the day. Still undecided as there is also the Alan Hunt Memorial, will know more tomorrow night. Now back to the subject. Here is a newsflash! Beeone's tent has been chewed up by Rosie the guard-dog & due to the strong winds is now currently sitting perched upon the roof of the Roseycombe pub. There are another 3 people in the queue & Paddy the security man is very concerned for their welfare & state of mind. The restuarant is currently searching for stockists of wombat burgers & kookaburra curries, roo steaks will be supplied by Rolf Harris.Mr Whippy ice -cream merchants are inundating the stadium for details that's all folks

colincooke
Hello Sue, hmmm dilemma's dilemma's what should we do. I mean we wouldn't wanna miss out now would we. Tickets are bound to sell quickly aren't they i'd get 'em now if we're you, i mean you wouldn't wanna be turned away an hour before the event what a disappointment that would be .I reckon a restuarant ticket for an extra £5 would be bonzer. There'll be special Aussie guests such as "Dame Edna", "Crocodile Dundee"& the most famous Aussie of all "Skippy the bush kangaroo" . On track it will be a spectacle i tell ya, no billowing dust covering ya from head to toe, lot's of passing after the 1st bend , geez it'll be brilliant & best of all the winner get's to keep the prize money for themselves. I've heard from Dame Edna & she?he? whatever? says i'll be growing a fresh supply of Gladi's in time for the occasion, Mick Dundee says he'll make one of his special "bush telephone calls" later to finalise details.Oh Skippy is apparently a bit worried he may be on the menu :lol Edited March 25, 2008 by colincooke
Concrete Cowboy
Latest news from the queue : A real carnival atmosphere taking shape as the queue for the meeting of the year continues to grow with visiting fans really entering into the spirit. Belle vue fans leading the mexican wave, Ipswich fans holding a sponsored tractor pull and Male Lakeside fans doing wheelies and burnouts in their XR3i's while their girlfriends put on a fashion show featuring the latest designs from burberry. One official was quoted as saying " i have'nt seen excitement like this since they printed that paedophiles adress in the local paper". Remember Guys, only 3 months to go so don't miss out - what better way to celebrate easter than with a ticket to Johnno's testimonial shoved inside a large cadburys creme egg ?. Beeone
Just remembered'during the Brandonapolis meeting last year which was run at the same time on a Sunday as Johnno's meeting will be on, at least two of those blue Thomsonfly planes come in to Coventry airport during the meeting. As they fly past the Coventry end of the stadium anyone sitting in the left hand side of the plane could get to view a race for free, surely Thomson should be forced to impose a ticket surcharge payable to Johnno to allow for this outrageous attempt at free viewing of "The Event Of The Year"
