dont remember a steve collins at sheffield ever, definatly not in 1971

Do you mean steven collins the fourth collins brother

Nope, definitely not

Rode Wimbledon away 1971. Scored 1.

Probably a Dons junior who stood in for the meeting.

I believe Colin Clark passed away on 29/12/1979, and Brian Craven in April 1993.

I had no idea Derek Cook is no longer with us, he was a great little rider in his day.

Cheers again Kev.

Cancer I believe, May 1997

Geoff Curtis was killed on December 15 1973 at Sydney Showground (assuming he died there and not later). (I'm guessing you already knew that, though, and really wanted his birth details).

There was a Dons junior with this name around this period. I think the Steve of the famous Collins' family would have been too young anyway . . .

Geoff was born 26/4/1943 in Sydney if that helps.

Surely Graham Coombes isn't dead-he's real young-sorry to see Brian Craven died at a very youing age

If he is still alive, he would have to be well in his sixties at least.

If "Ian Clarke" is Ian Clark of Peterborough/MK etc fame, then it is December 23, 1958, in Sandon, Essex.

Bev Compton was born on March 29, 1976, in Roodeport, South Africa.

Scott Cook was born on May 1, 1965, in Musselburgh, Scotland.

Graham Coombes was born in 1940 (no date) in Auckland, New Zealand.

Frigbo-this is v. interesting-it sounds like people have died that I was unaware of-do you plan to post this data when done-I realise it must be a massive job-names there I haven't thought of for years e.g. Fred Collier. Is it true that Col Cottrell has passed away??

Bobbath,

It certainly was my intention to web this lot, as well as Spreadsheets I have with the result and individual scores from every League match.

Problem is I made a start but haven't had time to do any more.

I'm more than willing to let someone take it on if they have the inclination.
