uk_martin
Birmingham's Alan Hunt Memorial Trophy meeting sounds like it could be good fun. FIRSTLY - Former Brumme and 48 year young - Shawn McConnell has been confirmed in the line up. Anyone who saw him at Brighton and last year at the Denny Pyeatt Memorial at Reading will testify that he is nowhere near over the hill yet. He is the only Brummie from our past era to be still riding, and we as Brummies fans will welcome him back for sure. SECONDLY - Ulrich Ostergaard will be there. Er, probably. It is a Sunday fixture after all. (a witty wag on the Brummies Forum suggested that the Brummies fans should stay at home that Sunday to concentrate on their painting and decorating of their homes, in tribute to Ully!) Yay! 16th March - can't wait.
Najjer
Same day as Nick Simmons meeting - Might ruduce the crowds slightly at both venues
MattyHart
How can it reduce them at both venues they'll be at one or the other,i doubt they'll choose to not go to either.
tanya
I was thinking the same - same day as Nick Simmons Testimonial. Nick has ridden for Stoke, Newport, Exeter and Isle of Wight so he might get a good representative from those clubs coming to see him. Great line up for his meeting too, hopefully they will both do well.

Brummie Kev
Certainly cant wait till this meeting, be good to see ulrich back even if its only one meeting. I think it was great that ulrich contacted graham drury to ask if he would be able to ride.

SCB
Choices! Go and see Shawn McConnell or the top stars at Nick Simmons testimonial!! I wanted to see Shawn last year at reading but couldn't make it and it looks like the same might happen again

Won't be anyone left for Birmingham. You'd best go there then. Us Brummies fans will just have to make do with this years Brummies team and assorted Brummies rejects and "Old Brummians". czechhero
Can't see the fact that Simmo's testy and the Wacker meet are on the same day, will make that much difference either way, should be decent crowds at both I would imagine, weather permitting. MattyHart
Someone obviousbly wasn't no good at maths at school <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ok so explain how will it reduce crowds at both venues,if people don't go to Newport because of the meeting at Birmingham then that will reduce Newport's crowds,or the same could happen the other way,so one track might suffer yes,but how will both? But Somersets race nigt clashes with Coventrys, so I'm hoping them meeting are on a GP weekend, or even that Edinburgh go there on an off night If someone would like to arrange that, I'd be most grateful
