Seb the Snail
Coventry 1st, Swindon 2nd... the curse of 2007 strikes again! A very damp evening at the Abbey, so firstly congratulations to everyone who stuck it out til the end. I was saturated! As has been mentioned, most Swindon fans feared that Mads would be the weak link, so it was bizarre to see Leigh battling away at the back in the final, trying to forge a way through. He was so close on lap 3, but credit where it's due, the Bees pair did an excellent job and deserved their win. I'd thought it was going to be between them and the Aces all night, but the draw for the semis saw to that. It was good to watch tonight with bananas and the Aces fans, and also a handful of heats with the pesky Bees; many thanks to both for the presents! Not much else to add... Hans was my rider of the night, with an honorable mention to Mads and Puk too, who both excelled. Davidsson was in traditional Abbey mood, and Bjerre was back to his worst too. Shame. Scores on the doors in case anyone needs them: Qualifiers: Swindon 26 (Adams 16, Korneliussen 10+2) Belle Vue 25 (Crump 15, Gjedde 10+3) Coventry 23 (Andersen 14+1, Harris 9+2) Ipswich 21 (Swiderski 11+1, Schlein 10) Poole 20 (Pedersen 11+2, Holder 9+1) Wolverhampton 15 (Iversen 13, Lindgren 2) Peterborough 12 (Bjerre 6, King 6) Eastbourne 11 (Richardson 9, Woodward 2) Lakeside 9 (Shields 9, Davidsson 0) Semis: Swindon 5-4 Ipswich (Schlein, Korneliussen, Adams, Swiderski) Belle Vue 4-5 Coventry (Crump, Andersen, Harris, Gjedde) Final: Swindon 4-5 Coventry (Korneliussen, Harris, Andersen, Adams)
Steve Shovlar
Perhaps, unlike you he was actually there and might be travelling back Actually Rabbit I had no interest in the event and forgot it was even on. Well done to all the riders that turned up. Poole won this last year and I never bothered going to that meeting either. If the riders don't take it seriously I am certinaly never going to and they won't get my money for this or the ELRC on Wednesday.

SCB
Poole lacklustre? Is thats why they seemed intent on fencing people?
Sandie
Well done bees good to see the biggest clubs in the uk in the final . Well done Bees. But still very difficult to cheer for Hans - just doesnt feel right yet. And well done to Ipswich - Rory rode very well and also looked really happy, relaxed and comfortable in the pits afterwards. Pollyanna
I had a feeling that both Ipswich and Coventry would be dark horses for this! Well done Ipswich on getting to the semi-final. From PC to KC.
far more significance & why is that Probably because all clubs were represented this year. No Belle Vue last year.
