The Third Man
it may not follow the idea of elite pairs...but tomas and kevin would gibe the meeting a real gd mix up! and in fairness if they both ride to their potential, they wouldnt suprise me if they made the semis! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> but if they are in it it isnt the EL pairs so change the name to the invitation pairs event anyway hopefully this wont happen anyway
Wildcat
but if they are in it it isnt the EL pairs so change the name to the invitation pairs event anyway hopefully this wont happen anyway <{POST_SNAPBACK}> im not necessarily saying i agree with it...just that it wouldnt affect the meeting and bring the standard down to much.. Trees
but if they are in it it isnt the EL pairs so change the name to the invitation pairs event anyway hopefully this wont happen anyway I hope you make the same fuss about the World Championship invitation league!!? It's not been officially confirmed has it anyways!
Bagpuss
Can't wait to see AJ round Lynn again. During our last season in the EL in 2002 he rode in three matches for Coventry at the NA and scored three full maximums. Nobody got anywhere near him, not even his team mates! keef
Roobins look good with 2 ex-Lynn riders
teessidepaul
Roobins look good with 2 ex-Lynn riders <{POST_SNAPBACK}> all the ex lynn riders will come out of the wood work .... iirc like last year
D.I.G.
Why is this event being staged at a Premier league track. The last event at Kings Lynn was a total farce. If the event is profitable, then why not hold it at any of the Elite league tracks, have it on a rota basis if fans think there are home advantages. Bagpuss
Neutral venue presumably. Also a good racetrack appreciated by most top EL riders (when not overwatered )
Trees
I don't think Buster will make that mistake again!!!
Chris
I don't think Buster will make that mistake again!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Really? The two umpa lumpas made the same "mistake" last season after he produced a farce of an EL riders championship at Lynn (overwatered track and half the Lynn team sniffing around for a ride). Oh wait! No he purposely produced the same track for Lynn v Sheffield in the play offs. Marvellous. Never mind Jonny you can have the pairs again and be on standby if a track pulls out. em1500uk
Coventry, Eastbourne, Poole and Swindon look good for rostrum places...and P'boro, if Bjerre performs as well as he did in the P'boro v BV meeting at the NA last year. HBKPCNBob
Might just make this one, will be good to go see some top notch racing at the NA, having only seen conference league there.
stevehone
Might just make this one, will be good to go see some top notch racing at the NA, having only seen conference league there. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> from what i've seen, the CL racing has been top notch there
Bagpuss
Another tremendous contribution Christopher. You mother must be so proud! Missed the EL pairs last season so looking forward to being there this time. If its anywhere near as good as the ELRC post heat five it will be worth seeing. colincooke
A top line up there if all appear as mentioned.Hard to predict but i would say all but Ippo have a good chance, that's not a dig by the way, just that the rest look stronger. Trees
Oh wait! No he purposely produced the same track for Lynn v Sheffield in the play offs. Marvellous. I think it was on orders of the captain who had a fantastic night. If its anywhere near as good as the ELRC post heat five it will be worth seeing. There's ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT about that I can't bloomin wait!
SPEEDY69
1.Poole 2.Lakeside 3.Swindon
Bagpuss
I think it was on orders of the captain who had a fantastic night. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In actual fact Trees Chris is talking out of his rectum as usual. The track for the ELRC was overwatered as admitted to on the night by Buster whereas for the Sheffield match it was 'over shaled'. Yep can't wait either, should be a top night. Although obviously not as good as it would have been at Hoddesdon
bazaar3
Not a bad looking meeting and a tough one to call. I would guess: 1)Peterborough 2)Poole 3)Eastbourne 4)Coventry but really anyone can win this one.
Sir Jasper
Yeah it looks quite open this year Belle Vue with Crump will be in the mix. Poole also if Watt returns with the form he showed in the ELRC. Coventry also as Bomber looked handy in the ELRC and Rory rides the place well. Lakeside with AJ will be in with a shout (however its this sort of meeting AJ is likely to miss.
