Twisti Twotle
As i was leaving the stadium,Mike Bennett interviewed a very angry Buster. Buster wanted to address the crowd to say that it wasnt his fault the meeting was cancelled and that it was a few of the riders who didnt want to ride. He sounded pretty annoyed beacuse he had done so much work on the track and he beliveed it to be rideable. Then towards the end of his interview he declared that he was going to put Kings Lynn up for sale. Whether he is being serious or just a spir of the moment who knows.. speedy17
funny how after first downpour they were ready to have the track graded and start racing yet 10 seconds after it started raining again they all sprint to get there gear packed away. the picture at the back of the programme summed up how it used to be, we will never see that again. Shortcrust
So can we hear from people who were there please? Track looked great when we arrived at 5 o'clock, sun was out, was very windy too. To be fair the weather that spoiled it WAS forecast, it was just a case of how localised and heavy the showers were going to be. Just unfortunate for all concerned, but hey that's speedway. No Premier League meeting would have been called off tonight, that's for sure. The track to me looked raceable let alone rideable. I can understand Busters fustration but all tonight has proved to me is that our club doesn't need the Elite League. All EL riders can go namby pamby off in there own back yards. Even the Ref seemed to want the meeting to continue but the pussy riders know best.

You can hardly blame him for being angry really, and I am sure we will find out soon enough if KL is up for sale or not.
nendoc
We were told by Mike Bennett that some work was going to be done on the track and the riders would give it a go as they wanted to ride. A second shower that lasted literally 10 seconds and we were told that the meeting was off . Draw your own conclusions

Sounds a complete carbon copy of the ELRC at Poole a couple of years ago, when it was on Sky. A coup[le of the riders didn't want to race as they had Polish commitments the next day. The track got wet, the staff worked on it. They said they would give it a go if it didn't rain again. Just as they came out for the first race, a light shower past over. You would have thought that Noah was going to appear, the speed the riders moved. It past over in 5 mns but that was it. They were off and there was no stopping them. Fans ripped off. Poole promotion frustrated. Sky TV fuming. Sound familiar?

Sound familiar? i was at Poole 2 years ago and there was nothing wrong with the track on that night , tonight the track looked a lot worse ,so i say right call ,3 miles up the road ,roads dry , its just one of them things

PhilK
Surely this is the death knoll for this waste of time meeting. Riders aren't interested, Sky arent even interested And after the last few seasons I doubt too many supporters will be in future
Star Lady
Perhaps Sky should televise the reaction of Buster when he's asked to stage the re-run of this meeting. I bet it will be far more entertaining than many a speedway match

Davy Watt wanted to ride a wet track, now that surprises me!
Silver Bee
Fans weren't ripped off in the slightest. Correct call and didn't want to see a farce of a meeting on a joke of a track. Very good call with regard to readmission and the other super 7 events and refunds are being offered for people not attending the re staging or other super 7's events. I am disappointed but these happen, certainly not a farce. It's not about whether the PL boys would have ridden or the usual crap that gets said after these meetings are called off, I want to see a good meeting on a well prepared track for my money. Today that wouldn't have happened, whichever riders were there.
Haza
also i thought a poor turn out for a meeting like this , i,d say about the same as a PL meeting at Lynn ,but at £20 a time and petrol £ 1,07 a litre and everthing else going up its not surprising a poor turn out
M08
How many were roughly there? 3000?
Shortcrust
How many were roughly there? 3000? Not quite that many, but I'd say more than an average Mildenhall crowd.
Haza
no not 3000 , 2000 maybe a lot less than last season .
