rhidassa
There is a saying for people like you... but ill keep quiet Hey, it saves me a wasted journey if its gonna snow. One question, what time does the gate actually open? The EDP & Speedway Star say 5, whilst the site says 4..
ajh
Your best bet for food is probably the Brewers Fayre pub in West Lynn. It's called the Freebridge Farm and it's just off the West Lynn roundabout where the the A17 meets the A47. It's also the site of a Premier Travel Inn and only 5 mins max from the stadium. Those coming from the A10, just go the same route to the stadium as they normally would but instead of exiting the dual carriageway at the Saddlebow junction, just carry straight on and they will see the pub and the Premier Travel Inn on the right hand side as they come to the roundabout. Coming from the A47 you take the 2nd exit (straight over) at large roundabout and coming from the A10 they would take the 3rd exit (right). Will probably be signposted West Lynn and Clenchwarton. Hope that helps! Link Here Edited April 5, 2008 by ajh
King Jamie
I stayed at the Globe, Sandie; next to the marketplace, its a Wetherspoons with Good Tucker and extremely friendly Barmaids; one in particular made a lonely Aussie feel very welcome!! i'll second that recommendation
Bagpuss
Any major roadworks - A14 / A47? I cant see anything on roadwatch but local knowledge always bestter!! I believe Stephen Lambert posted on here earlier in the week that there were some pretty big roadworks on the A17 at Sutton Bridge, don't know if they are still in place though. Might be an idea to allow a bit more time just in case. Any forum members who haven't met me and wish to, I will be on the first bend furiously texting the updates through to Iffoid! Will be nice to put some faces to names Edited April 5, 2008 by Bagpuss
ajh
The Globe is ok (been thrown out many a Saturday night ) but it's right in the heart of the town centre. No problem if Sandie and co are feeling brave enough to tackle the one way system Freebridge Farm is the closest pub to the stadium, trust me, I would know

Hmm - I think save the vouchers for another day. But thanks all for the info and to Bagpuss for the travel advise

Always good to see Mr Crump back at the Arena, one of my faves of course, and the fact that he's partnered with a Danish Charlie I think I'll have to convert to an Aces fan later on!
