iris123
Regarding Frank facher. In all the various meetings i've ever seen, i've never known a reserve's points to count. Is this a rule for this competition only, or was it some sort of gentlemens agreement? Not a great rules person, but i thought it was normal.Last year in the U21 semi at Vojens,Nicolai Klindt was ruled out by the Doctors in his first heat and German Richard Speiser took his place.I figured if he had enough points to go through,he would have done :unsure:OK,this was slightly different in that Franks rides were for disqualifications,so maybe they don't normally count Edited April 28, 2008 by iris123
tomazpozrl
AFAIK, reserves' points always count for the final classification and they can also qualify to the next round in FIM and UEM meetings.
iris123
I can see the trouble there though. As Frank didn't take one riders programmed rides,he got a different draw to the rest.He rode for instance twice against Schützbach and Schultz, which could give him an advantage over the others i.e Vargek who had to ride against all the riders
tomazpozrl
I see what you mean, but here is an excerpt from FIM rulebook (General Rules for Track Racing): 070.4.6 Substitute rider (...) Any point gained by the substitute rider/sidecar team in replacement of one or more scheduled riders/sidecar teams will count towards the results of the meeting and will also count as points towards the respective on-going Championship, if applicable. Conversely, the points gained by the injured or replaced rider/sidecar team (if any) will also count towards the results of the meeting and the respective on-going Championship, if applicable. A substitute rider/sidecar team cannot ride in more heats per day than a scheduled rider/sidecar team.

Yes it did.But in typical German style Adam wasn't there. The Polish rider was Nowacyk a team mate of Adams(or he was last year at least at Poznan) MoS

Maximum from Sönke Petersen, who really seems to be in form this year. Also young René Deddens had 3 heat wins and two disqualifications. But maybe after a few years of the same riders at the top, there is another youngster coming through.Sometimes hard to believe that Sönke and Kevin Wölbert are still in the U19 category as they were impressive in the U21 qualis way back in 2004!!Some of these guys seem to have been around for ever
TwoMinuteWarning
I remember seeing Sonke Petersen riding in the UK back in 2001! He was with the German U-16 team and he was, I think, the youngest in the team at just 12 years old. What happened to the rest of that team ? Michael Hertrich - didn't he pack up speedway a year or two ago? Stefan Kurtz Tobias Genz Christoph Demmel - riding for Pfaffenhofen Max Hacker

peatbog
Result of the Auerhahnpokal,Teterow taken from inspeed.de I saw a few laps of this on NDR TV via satellite, it was an hour long programme about the Teterow Grasstrack, and what an awesome track it is. I would call it kidney shaped and has both left and right hand bends and a very fast downhill jump with speeds in excess of 100 km/h Egon Muller was one of the presenters and it showed a clip of his Speedway World Chamionship win in 1983
iris123
I saw a few laps of this on NDR TV via satellite, it was an hour long programme about the Teterow Grasstrack, and what an awesome track it is. I would call it kidney shaped and has both left and right hand bends and a very fast downhill jump with speeds in excess of 100 km/h Egon Muller was one of the presenters and it showed a clip of his Speedway World Chamionship win in 1983 Saw the programme as well.Weren't those lady MotoX riders lovely? Was a good programme.Unfortunately the racing was pretty poor both on the Bergring and in the speedway stadium.Fans as well as the commentators(Egon particularly)were complaining about the dust on the Bergring. And what they showed of the speedway re-inforced most fans views about the track. It is an Autobahn. The Bergring weekend is well worth taking in.You can get two days of racing on the Bergring + a speedway meeting in the stadium next door and a speedway meeting on sunday night at nearby Güstrow. The big curve just before the start/finish line is spectacular as they are almost riding on the wall of death because of the banking. But that narrow bit in the middle where you can see them going on both sides looks a good spot as well. To see the track, you just have to put "bergring teterow" in google maps. You can see both tracks very well on the satellite photo Edited May 16, 2008 by iris123
