Lindbäck in Bundesliga

Well the story gets better.Seems Antonio has said he will ride in Brokstedt, but he has agreed to ride for 2 different teams. At the moment, both Wolfslake and Landshut are claiming Lindbäck will ride for them!!!!!!:lol:

Tricky track because of rain yesterday through to this morning caused a few problems.Meeting was held up for a while because of a nasty collision between two of the youngsters in the Schülerklasse B competition.Trouble with this system for such a big difference in standard is that it takes a while to get going.Wasn't really until heat 11 that there was any good racing. That heat saw a great battle between young René Deddens and old hand,Steffen Mell.Deddens led Mell for about 3 laps before Steffen managed to pass him.Another good race in heat 17 saw Kevin Wölbert eventually pass Tobi Busch for a win. Then the next heat saw a very close race between Schultz,Knakowski and Mell.Knakowski seemed to hit a few ruts in the track and Mell again came from behind to take second.Must say Danny looked pretty good seeing as he has had a break from the sport.I haven't seen him for a couple of years but he looked fast from the gate.Probably the best i have seen Knakowski ride for a good few years and he is still fairly young. He had another good race in heat 20 with U19 star Erik Pudel, who gave Matze Schultz a bit of a scare in heat 22.Was about the only time Matze was troubled all afternoon, although Kevin Wölbert had a chance for a split second in heat 24.Kevin came speeding out of the first turn and looked like he was going to pass Matze, but had to ease off as Matze blocked him.

So the tug or war for Antonio is finally settled(we hope).Pretty good line-up.I think it looks like a battle between Brokstedt and Neuenknick. But there are a lot of good riders.Just hope the weather plays along.Lovely today, but think there is some rain predicted for the next few days.A good line-up for the morning as well with young René Deddens among the 500cc riders and in the 125cc class maybe Steven Mauer will have a harder time of it this weekend than he did at Güstrow

I saw Lindbäck in Vetlanda on friday, looked fast. I thought he was really fast but then heard that his fastest time was "only" 0,5 seconds faster than Juha Hautamäki's best.

Charlie beat him in the A-Final and was leading easily in the run-off but fell. The track was badly rutted

Iris - what's the deal about the U19 and U21 riders and points? How do they add into the team totals - I'm assuming they have to do with the +nn against the teams scores?

They each have 4 heats against each other(so the U21s ride 4 heats against each other) and the top scorer after the 4 heats gets 3 points towards his teams totals, the next best gets 2 points and so on.....It was to stop the fact a few years back that some of the U21s getting put in with the likes of Walasek and Klingberg were way,way behind. You can imagine on a track like Brokstedt which is just under 400m the heats were very strung out.So they decided to have their own heats. This year they have added U19 heats as well.

Actually i was the person who suggested it,but i am not sure at the moment if it is good or bad. When you get a rider like Petersen or Dilger just winning all 4 heats is it helping them or not? They might be better off in with the big boys.

The U21s +U19s can each be used in the main heats once as a reserve ride if one of the main riders is injured for their team

Guest Schumi

There are three, and I'm not sure which one Mads is in, but they're on 24.05.08 (Terenzano), 08.06.08 (Herxheim) and 21.06.08 (Debrecen).

The 17th and 18th May are the other qualifying rounds to determine the semi-final line-ups.
